Delaila's POV
I was on my annual Sunday night walk with my friends. They were all talking about The Flash...as usual and I didn't understand anything they were talking about seeing as I've never watched The Flash. I mean its not that its bad or anything I'd just much rather watch other shows...like my Animes. We cut through the park as I began to drown in my own thoughts.
That was when I saw it again. Every Sunday night for the past year, sometimes other nights, I saw it. The tall shadowy figure in a robe or something. Sometimes it was hiding, or at least trying to, behind a tree or bush. Other times it was just standing there in the open. My friends had never seen it. Every time I told them to look it would disappear. "It's probably just a tree or someone walking their dog," they would say. But I knew it wasn't.
I just stood there starring at it as my friends continued walking.
"Laila? You okay?" May asked.
"ya." I never told them I had kept seeing it for the past year because I didn't want them to think I was crazy.
"It's getting kinda late," Kruz said, "We should head back home." We all agreed with him and split to head home. Noah and Jack live in my block, in fact, Noah lives right behind my house and jack lives right next door which is nice because we can just hop walls into each others yards. Everyone else, including May, Trista, Kruz, and Ethan live on the other side of the neighborhood so we all usually meet at the park for hangouts.
"See ya guys at school tomorrow," Jack said as he walked up to his front door.
"Ya see ya," I said back. I then walked up to my house and said goodnight to Noah.
Before I opened my front door I remembered I had to go get the trash barrel and bring it to the road. So I did that. Once I started walking back up the driveway I saw the figure again. it was standing in the alleyway that leads to a grassy field across the street from my house. I was done with this I needed to know what this thing was so I started walking across the street towards it. It didn't move. I was closer now. And closer. And even closer. Now I was face to face with it, if that was even it's face. It had a giant cloak on so I couldn't exactly see its face, especially since this thing was like 7 feet tall.
"H...h.hello?" I was starting to get a bit frightened.
"Hello," it said back.
"Who o..or what are you?"
"Why do you need to know?"
"Well I think I deserve the right to know who has been stalking me for the past year!"
"Point made."
"SO!?!"
"My name is Wyatt."
"Okay? Nice to meet you Wyatt I'm.."
"Delaila. I know," he cut me off.
"That's not creepy at all," I mutter under my breathe. "So Wyatt. Why have you been stalking me?"
"Because you were chosen and I needed to see if you were really fit to become one of us."
"Huh? One of you? Then what are you?"
He took off his cloak and suddenly looked a whole foot shorter then when he had it on. He looked just like a regular human boy, and about my age too. That was until his eyes began to glow red. I was confused. He then smiled and I saw these huge, sharp fangs in his smile. I gasped.
"Y..you..You're a..."
"WAIT!" He screamed and coverd my mouth with his hand. He then dragged me out of the alleyway and into the grassy field. Once we were far enough in the field, away from the houses, he let go of my mouth.
"YOU'RE A VAMPIRE?!?!?" I screamed.
He just chuckled and nodded. His eyes then stopped glowing but his fangs were still shown.
"And I need you to become one too."
