The room exploded into fireworks of color. I gasped, and was suddenly blinded by the colors of all the galaxies around me.

"What is this?" I whisper to myself, covering my mouth as I tried to process what was happening.

Stars floated around me; galaxies hung in the air; the entire nebula was born before my eyes.

I took a few steps back, craning my neck to see everything.

"Do you like it?'

I drop my hands and look over my shoulder at Dan. He had his hands in his pockets, and was smiling shyly at me.

They planned this?

"This was your guys' doing?" I look between him and Phil, who was coming to stand next to Dan.

Both of them nod, and I literally jump through the stars to tackle first Phil and then Dan in a hug.

Phil's hug was gentle; because of how tall he was, he had to bend slightly to hug me properly. My arms wrapped around his midsection and his arms wrapped completely around me, his head resting on mine.

"Thank you so much," I whisper before I pull back.

Dan's hug was the same, but different. He was taller than Phil, so it meant bending to hug me a little more than normal. Instead of bending, Dan squatted a tad and then lifted me off the floor. I hid my face in the crook of his neck and grappled for a hold as he wrapped his arms around my waist, burying his face in my shoulder.

"You are the best," I said as my left boot fell off.

It made a loud plop as it hit the floor, echoing loudly. When it finally quieted down, I could hear the projectors making the universe around us.

"Dan, you're going to have to let her go. We still have that last thing."

Dan says "Oh," and puts me down. I slip into my boot.

With a chuckle, we all walk over to the controls and shut off the galaxy.

"Can we come back to this later?" I ask.

They chuckle and nod.

"Close your eyes again," Phil said.

I raise an eyebrow at him and he laughs.

"The next thing is a surprise."

I roll my eyes and then close them. Dan and Phil both take my hands, dragging me forward towards wherever they were taking me.

"Okay, you can't open our eyes until we tell you. Got it?" Phil said to me.

I heard the ugly creaking of a door opening. I nod.

Phil lets go of my hand and disappears. So, I step closer to Dan and grab his arm. I can feel him chuckle and he squeezes my hand.

"You're going to like this," Dan said, his lips ghosting against my right temple.

Fire erupted in my stomach and I tried to ignore it, but I just fisted my hand in his jacket sleeve, gritting my teeth.

"Phil, open the thingy," Dan said.

Phil: "The guard told me how to open the thingy. What did he say?"

"I don't know."

I could hear Phil muttering to himself.

"Are your eyes still closed?" Dan asks. I nod and I can feel him lean over, and I know he's checking to make sure I'm not lying. I chuckle and then jump when a horrendous scraping sound rips into my ears.
