Chapter 2 || The Present

It's 3am, I'm calling in to tell you that without you here, I'm losing sleep~ Losing Sleep, John Newman

(Mackenzie's POV)

~2 Years After Incident~

"It's your first day back at school, you excited?" I asked and Jenna groaned, flicking her blonde hair away from her face.

"Only to see my friends"

"Okay" I smiled and held my sisters hand as we walked into her school.

"Cara!" She said as she engulfed her friend in a hug.

Then she ran up to me and wrapped her little 12 year old arms around me.

"Bye bye Macky. Love you"

"Have a good day at school today Jen. Love you too" I added and she skipped off again.

I walked back to my new black Porsche and grinned at the gaping faces of the people around as I slipped in and drove away. I bought the car with my money that I receive from my... Job.

I parked up in the small hidden car park at the Electricity Towers and pulled my dark hair back into a braid down my back. I looked down at my black yoga pants and black tank top and applied some eyeliner and mascara.

My Job liked us looking dark and well.. Deadly.

I smirked as I saw one of my best friends exiting his own white Ferrari and we high fived as he pushed back his blonde hair.

"Hey Kyle" I said and the Irishman linked his arm with mine and ducked through the fence with me following.

"Hey Ken"

Kyle always called me names like that. I never got called Mackenzie or Macky, it's always Ken to Kyle.

"What have you been up to?" He asked as we both placed our hand on the box with the small detailed symbol. The door immediately opened and we stepped into the elevator. I clicked the 'HQ' button and it a couple of seconds it beeped and the door opened.

The HQ was a huge underground room that had desks around in a line on the left and offices on the right. The biggest office was labeled Z.R and was the office of Zander Relfs, the leader.

"Mackenzie, Kyle" He said smiling warmly at each of us, and we repeated the same gesture back.

"Have you come for training?" He asked and I nodded. Kyle scurried off to one of the desks.

"Training rooms 1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and 12 are full. Try either 3, 5, 8, 9, 10 or 11"

"Thank you" I said and walked back into the elevator and pressed on number 3.

If you have ever seen the Hunger Games, you would know what the Training Room here looks like. It is basically the same but with boxing I'm the corner and without the survival skills.

I picked up one of the knifes and threw it a few times straight onto the middle of the targets and then I grabbed a dummy and practiced slow and painful killing on it.

I smiled proudly when I mastered the stab in the back technique. It is a good one to use because then you can see the eyes rolling back and it looks quite frightening.

I turned around when I heard clapping and cheering.

"Oh, your good!" Dylan said. I had forgave him for killing Grace because he was ordered to, so it wasn't quite his fault. It would have happened anyway.
