After Lau left the house he got into his car wiping his face of tears and rain. Water drops pounded on his wind shield blurring his view. He put the key in the ignition turning the wipers on, thinking of what he was going to do. He thought about Jess and how he said he was going to help take care of the baby. Now that he knew it wasn't his he wanted to seem strong for her, but it was really bothering him deep down. He knew he was going to help her, but now that Jen was back in the picture it was going to be difficult. He put his foot on the pedal looking at the house as he drove off. He didn't have anywhere to go, he just wanted to get out so he could clear his mind. He drove around remembering everything that he had with Jess. He remembered those nights they would watch movies on the couch. He would pop popcorn and sit her in his arms. He would love the feeling of her hair and skin laying on his bare chest. He loved the way she would look up and smile at him. He loved her laugh. He loved her walk. He loved her confidence... As he continued to think he realized how much confidence she lost because of him. He called her a hoe, which he knew tore her apart. He always left her alone at the house, with no one to love. He hated that feeling. He hated the way he made her feel, and he couldn't imagine doing it again. He couldn't imagine doing it to Jen either. He would never in a million years leave a woman by herself with his child. If he committed to the sex, he was going to commit to the child that came with it. He was going to take care of his child, and he was going to take care of his woman as well and the child that came with her. He didn't know how he was going to do it yet, but he was going to find a way. His thoughts were broken when his phone started to hum. He looked at his phone seeing the name... "my other half". What does Larry want right now? I hope nothing happened? He thought to himself as he answered the phone. "Hello?" He said watching the raindrops splash on his window. "Where'd you go bro?" Larry sounded relaxed but still concerned. "Nowhere just driving around. I...I don't want Jess to see me like this. She's already stressed enough..." there was a short pause while a tear rolled down his face. "Don't worry... I'm making sure she's okay, but what are you going to do about...Jen." Larry spoke in a low whisper so that Jess couldn't hear. "I'm going to help her of course, but I don't know what to do about Jess. I don't want to leave her alone... I just want to help both of them. I just wish I could be both places at once.You understand my brother?" Lau wiped his face again waiting for his brothers response. Larry took a deep breath knowing that this was the time. "Well listen... I have an idea and I've already talked to Jess about it and she agrees..." Lau's eyes shot open. "Larry!!You told her?!" His body got hot and he started to panic. "No Lau listen!!!Just let me move in with you guys. Jess won't be alone anymore...I'll take care of her." Lau felt some type of way about his brothers idea. He didn't know if this was the right thing to do, but what else could he do? "I don't know about this Lar, but we can try. But listen..." he took a deep breath wishing that he didn't have to say this, but after what Larry did two nights ago he knew he had too. "... Do not... and Im serious Larry... Do not touch her!" There was a long pause. "Hello?!" Lau said wondering what was going on. "Uh...yeah I hear you Lau... I won't touch her...I promise." He felt guilty, but he kept trying to remind himself that he was right. "Okay... I'll be back in a couple minutes. You can leave and go pack up your stuff to move in when I come back if you want." Larry responded with no hesitation. "Yeah I will don't worry about it, but I gotta go umm.... I need to help Jess finish cleaning up from breakfast." Lau sighed thinking about how nice the breakfast and the morning was going until he got that phone call. "Okay I'll talk to you later...bye" he hung up the phone feeling a little better now that he knew his twin had his back. He didn't know what he would do without Larry.
