Castor looked over at me. "Of course we want you as a member! You're the best hacker in the galaxy, and we need someone of your skill."

"Generally people are supposed to apply for jobs, not be kidnapped then forced into it." I retorted.

He huffed. "Come on, what do you want in return? Obviously the necessities like food and stuff, but what else? We can help you find this girl if you want."

"No!" He looked shocked, I hadn't ment to yell. "This," I pointed at the screen, "is my problem, not yours. I'll join you guys if you do a few things." He nodded, wanting me to continue. I can't believe I'm agreeing to this, but I don't have anywhere else to go and they don't seem too bad once they've got you hostage in their ship. "I want you to leave this mess to me. Don't touch it, don't think about, don't mess with it."

"Anything else?"

"Don't hurt Bix."

He looked confused, "I'm sorry, who's that?"

"The lavarat."

"Ah, I wasn't planning on it. I just needed to get you on board. He really is quite cute."

"Good." I said, glad he was agreeing with my demands.

"Do we have a deal then?" Castor stared at me, waiting for an answer.

"I guess so." I replied. "Now give me my stuff back."

He took the key out of the table's slot and put it back in the bullet. After shutting the metal capsule, he handed the necklace back over. I quickly put it back on, glad to feel the familiar weight again.

"Blaze!" He called out. The large man came soon after, Bix resting on his shoulder.

"'Sup, Cap?" He said, Bix woke up and looked around the room.

"Escort, the newest crew member to her room. Then give her a tour, she'll need to know how to get around." Castor turned to me. "Your work starts tomorrow. See you then." Then he walked out of the room.

Blaze clapped me on the back. "Congrats, girlie, you're almost officially part of the team!" He whooped, clearly more excited about this than me. He leaned down to whisper to me. "To tell you the truth, the two of them are so work-oriented they get really dull, so I'm really glad you're here."

I looked at him inquisitively, "What do you mean 'almost'?"

"I'll show you in a moment," he said while grinning, "for now let's start the tour!"
