"What happened next??" I asked grandpaa curiously.
This is my favourite part of the day where grandpaa shares a true moral story which is always interesting.
It's been six days since I came here and grandpaa has managed to cheer me up each day.
"So when Akrama , who was the city controller at that time came to know about the terrible condition of Khazeema , he became worried. Since Khazeema was such an honourable man who always helped the poor until he was rich , Akrama the city controller, decided to help khazeema who was now due to some very terrible events penniless.
When it was late at night Akrama took out 700 gold coins from the city treasure and wearing a mask and a cloak to hide his identity, so that Khazeema doesn't feel embarrassed , he walked to Khazeema's house, knocked upon his door and offered the coins to Khazeema. Akrama first refused to disclose his identity to Khazeema but when Khazeema became very persistent to know who he was .. Akrama provided a fake identity and introduced himself as Jabir. He handed the coins to Khazeema and quickly ran back to his palace." Grandpaa breathed."What happened next?" I asked excitedly.
"Well when Akrama returned home and his wife inquired him where he was at this hour of the night , he truthfully told her everything but also warned her to never discuss about this with anyone as a good deed shall always remain between Allah and his worshipper, the lesser people know about it the better it is.
Days passed by and Khazeema invested all those coins in business and became rich again. He then went to visit the king of that country and presented some gifts to him which made the king very delighted and he decided to make Khazeema the controller of the city which was previously controlled by Akrama.
Akrama very respectfully left his seat and Khazeema was now made the new controller of the city. As soon as Khazeema got the control he ordered to get the finance department of the city audited and asked for the receipts for every past transactions. All the money which came in or out of the treasure had a record except for the 700 coins which Akrama had donated to Khazeema.""Oh goodness , what happened next?" I asked worriedly.
"Well Khazeema ordered Akrama to provide justification of the 700 gold coins which were missing. Akrama swore to God that he has not misused a single penny yet Khazeema ordered his men to lock Akarama and torture him to the point where he could no longer stay alive because Khazeema was sure that Akrama had stolen the coins for his own benefits. Since Akrama was determined to keep the matters between himself and Allah he did not speak a word but Akrama's wife couldn't bare it any longer and he sent a letter to Khazeema asking IS THIS HOW YOU ARE GOING TO REPAY JABIR WHO HELPED YOU IN YOUR DIFFICULT TIME?
As soon as Khazeema read the letter he couldn't hold his tears and quickly ran to Akrama. He held his feet and began asking for forgiveness. ""Yes he should be crying and asking for forgiveness as he tortured Akrama so much .. " I grunted.
"No my dear , he should be crying and asking for forgiveness for being too quick to judge Akrama .. for not hearing him out .. for being too quick to jump into conclusions." Grandpaa explained.
"Yeah but ... " before I could speak another word it then dawned upon me what message grandpaa is trying to convey.
How does he know that I didn't give Asher any chance to justify himself?
" You must go to bed now daughter dearest. It's quite late and we must sleep in order to wakeup early." Grandpaa smiled.
"Alright .. Goodnight grandpaa." I smiled back and begin to leave the room.
"Grandpaa? How do you always know everything. " I asked genuinely curious.
"Lets say , I know my kids better than they know themselves." Grandpaa winked and I couldn't hold back my smile.
