Chapter 4

I opened my eyes and all I could see was a wall lit up by studio floor lights. On the wall was the one thing I never ever wanted to see. The death masks. Everyone always talked about them and I was in such shock I didn't even realize that the nurse and my aunt were strapping me to a steal table with cold heavy metal chains.

One around my waist and strapped to my wrist and one around my neck holding my head down and lastly two around my ankles. I was only making whimpering sounds because I didn't want the death mask to be the end of me.

The death masks were copper colored masks with two long sharp metal drills coming out of where the eyes go and a long sphere sward that goes down your throat and two extra sharp needles that go up each nostril. They turned the table up and made me face a very dark side of the room to the point that I couldn't see anything.

I watched as a speck of light came through as the nurse and my aunt exited the room and I heard the steal door shut tight and the latch for the lock came down with a loud thump.

I was stuck to the cold metal table sitting there in silence quietly shivering. I heard a voice from a speaker come on and I jumped at the sound of the nurses voices. "Now June, it's your turn to experience what everyone else has already gone through" said the creepy old woman's voice.

A light lit up above another steal table that was about 6 feet across from me. "Now, let's play a game June."

The woman strapped on the table just like me stared at me in fear with a rag tied around her head through her mouth. "If you make a sound this will happen to you too June".

Seeing my mom stare so deeply into my eyes with such fear made me want to scream...
