As I pace up and down my dusty and neglected room; shelves filled to the brim with failed tests. You see, I'm on the search for an idea. Not any regular idea, oh no, we're talking off the scale big. For you see, I'm creating a mech. A weapon of mass destruction, however, I just can't seem to get the hang of using the prototype. I've called it "Kolby 1167", and I've enabled a speech chip. I've mostly been riding it in my test chamber. Fortunately, I've disabled its weapons; which is pretty self-explanatory. Anyway, I'm rambling.
Slowly turning to my desk, which is littered with: food, odd collectables and paperwork. I'd like to say I'm a clean person... but if I did, I'd be down right lying.
"Ugh, why do I still have this?" I mutter to myself, throwing an old gum packet into the bin. Just then, I hear rapid thumps coming from my window, when I pull open my curtains, I can only make out an outline of a face. In a flash, the face disappears to my door.
"Let me in," comes a gruff voice, "your machine has destroyed most of my crops!"
These words struck me. They struck me harder than a brick hitting a fragile window. But, I didn't hesitate to let the poor soul in. Click, sounded the wooden door's lock. An unearthly creek followed as I pulled the door toward me, and another one pursued as I shut it.
Unfortunately, this situation happens too much, so, I don't panic.
