My eyes fluttered open to the sound of my alarm. I groaned looking at the time, 4:30 am.

I laid still for a moment, basking in regret. Sighing, I got up and headed into my bathroom.

I did my usual morning routine of brushing my teeth and cleansing my face. Afterwards I tied my hair up in an extremely messy bun. Walking into my closet, I picked out some leggings and a regular hoodie.

As I walked down the stairs I got a text from my best friend, Blair.

blair - omw, be there in ten

"Morning mom,"

She was brewing up two cups of coffee before sliding me over a plate of eggs and toast.

"What time is your flight again?"

"Eight," I answered with a mouth full, "Blair's on her way,"

"Great. I checked in with Aunt Margo and she said she would be picking you up a half hour after your flight lands so you should get some food at the airport."

I nodded.

Just in time, Blair came into the kitchen, "Hey Mrs.Archibald!"

"Good morning Blair! How's your mom?"

"Oh she's great, yeah. Once the ecstasy wore in, she became completely chill with me spending three weeks in California without her," Blair joked and I almost spat out my food.

"I might need a pill myself," My mom chuckled.

Finishing my food, I put my plate in the sink, "We gotta get going. Does dad have the car packed?"

"All lock and loaded," On que, dad ran into the kitchen, kissing my mom on the cheek and grabbing her coffee for himself.

"Let's go girls!" He grinned excitedly before heading out the garage.

Mom gives us a look, "He must've gotten his hands on that ecstasy."
-
"Dude, that flight was the most exhausting thing," Blair complained.

I looked at her in surprise, "You slept the entire time."

"I know right, my ass hurts right now."

I let out a laugh, "I think that just means you're flat."

She gives me a glare which makes me laugh even more.

"Kidding!"

We both decided to go to the luggage claim after we got something to eat from Starbucks.

"Olivia," the barista called from behind the counter.

Quickly I made my way over to grab both of mine and Blair's drink, along with our croissants.

"My aunt should be here soon," I said as I pulled apart a piece of my croissant and stuffed it in my mouth.

"God, I am so excited. Three weeks full of L.A. parties and L.A. boys!"

"Don't get too excited, we still have to help my aunt out at her store."

"The trendiest fucking cafe in L.A.? That'll hardly be any work," Blair sighed and looked up as if she was dreaming, "Imagine all the cute, artsy guys that would come."

I shook my head, "You're insane."

My phone buzzed and I looked down at a text from my aunt.

"My aunt's here," We both grabbed our bags and rolled our luggages.

It took us a few minutes to find the exact exit my aunt was parked at, but once we did we were both greeted with screams and hugs.

"Blair! Olivia!"

"Hi Aunt Margo!"

We all rushed into a big embrace.

"Oh my god, you girls are so old now!"

"Not Olivia, she's still not legal yet," Blair teased.

"Ah, what a loser," Teddy, my cousin, remarked.

"Teddy! You haven't grown a bit!"

"I'm still taller than you," He rolled his eyes.

"Everyone is, don't think so highly of yourself," Blair smirked and Teddy's eyes landed on her.

I give him a raised brow.

"Hey kiddos! Let's get this car loaded," Uncle Josh stepped out of the drivers seat.

"Hey Josh!" Blair waves.

"How was the flight, girls?"

"Exhausting," Blair made sure to emphasize the 'h'.

"I guess you guys are too tired to come with me to a party in Hollywood tonight, right?" Teddy spoke.

"Absolutely not," Blair and I both said in unison.

I put the last of our bags into the trunk before getting into car.

The car ride was filled with chatter and
old music playing in the background.

With my Uncle Josh and Aunt Margo in the front, Blair was to my right and Teddy was to my left.

I let out a loud snort as I read a message on my phone,
