Chapter 1

"Mom?" I asked walking slowly down the stairs clutching my pocket knife. I had heard screaming downstairs. A little head then popped out from behind my little brother's room.

"Jeremy!? Go back to sleep bud. You can't be out here." I told the stubborn 6 year old, hoping he'd listen for once. But he didn't, he grabbed his pocket knife and ran to stand next to me. "Is Mommy okay Riley?" He asked, trembling his big blue eyes looking up at me in fear.

"I don't know Jeremy. Go back to your room so I can figure this out. Please listen bud." I said looking at him, my brown eyes filled with sorrow and a little fear. He nodded and ran back to his room. I sighed and continued to slowly creep down the stairs.

When I got down their I peeked around the corner and saw my mom. I also saw another man. One of them was dead. One of them was alive. One had a bloody knife. The other had been left helpless. There was blood everywhere. Anywhere you looked you'd see at least one drop or splatter of blood. I couldn't help it, I leaned over and barfed.

"Riley? What are you doing up so early? It's 2 am!"

"Sorry dad, I heard mom screaming." I answered. "What was her name dad?" I asked. "Hannah." Dad answered, as I pulled out my Polaroid Camera and took a single shot. I ran upstairs and taped it into my scrapbook. I wrote the letters slowly across the top H-A-N-N-A-H.

I began to look through my scrapbook at all the helpless faces. They all had one thing that was similar. They had all been murdered by my father.
