The fawn prances in the meadow with glee

In the everlasting beautiful day.

It will never encounter misery

That is much further than child's play.

This fawn will always remain above,

Where it lies in the beautiful meadow.

It will never see the hatred in us

Or the evil that hides in the shadows.

It will never see the horrors of war;

It will never undergo the pain of ruin.

It will never conceive the blood and gore

That soldiers left behind with a solemn tune.

All of which occurred because of one night

When the bombs destroyed everything in sight.
