I watched as the teacher ran off as fast as she could with a smile on my face.
"Cute." I said to myself, closing my umbrella and walking in. "Afternoon." I said to Hamish, putting my umbrella in the bin and nodding at him. He was washing our knives and other... utensils.
"You've been out for a while?"
"Ran into a rabbit sitting on our doorsteps."
"What'd she look like."
"Average. Brown hair, brown eyes. Some useless Jane Doe."
"Then why didn't you bring her in?"
"She was a teacher."
"So?"
"Too much suspicion. Besides, she's educating the youth."
"She was hot, wasn't she?"
"You know I don't pay attention to those things." I said, sitting down at the small table.
Hamish sat down across from me. "Occasionally, yes, you do."
"Very rare."
"Also very interesting."
I sighed and rubbed my temples. "Cute, at most."
"Try gorgeous, you let her run off."
"With a warning." I interjected.
"Oh, yeah, so scary." Hamish teased, rolling his eyes at me. "Come on, spill. You're totally gaga over her and you're gonna stalk her before you kidnap her and keep her in our torture room and cut off her legs until she develops Stockholm's syndrome and ends up falling in love with you."
"Like hell, weirdo."
"Whatever, Mr. Sociopathic serial killer."
"She was..." I sighed. "Really pretty. She was sweet too from what I got to hear. She must be smart if she's teaching kids and she probably has a real high tolerance for annoyance."
"Sounds like your type." Hamish said, bored.
"What? You're the one who was bugging me!"
"You always go after boring girls. There's never any excitement with you."
"In bed, there is."
"Gross."
"You think I don't hear you and Kit at night? It's disgusting. My best friend and brother, fucking, in the next room. I put up with that every other night and you can't handle one dirty joke."
Hamish grinned. "We are pretty loud. Sorry you have to deal with that. You probably don't get any sleep all night."
"More like for five minutes, then it's pretty easy."
Hamish punched me in the arm as my smile grew wider.
"Just for that you'll be dealing with it again tonight."
"I'll tell Kit you punched me. He won't be so happy about that."
"He will be once he finds out you said he lasts for five minutes."
"Fair enough."
"Good luck with your girl." Hamish said, standing up to stretch and going back to the 'utensils'.
"Thanks, little bro." I said, patting him on the back before heading upstairs.
"We're the same age right now."
"No, I'm always gonna be ten months older than you."
"Dick." he muttered, turning the water back on.
I smiled and headed to my room. I heard the shower running across the hall. That's where he was. I thought to myself, continuing towards my room. I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes. Her fearful face was etched into my lids.
God hope she doesn't listen to me. I'd love to see her again. Hopefully this time across the table playing me in a game of chess.
Everything about her was captivating. The way her hair struggled it's way out of her tight bun, how face got ever so slightly red in the heat. The way she carried herself in general was amusing, she was no doubt a submissive personality, the way she so meekly turned down my invitation as if she feared I would yell at her for refusing. I kept thinking about how close my hand got to her breasts, having her shirt unbuttoned like that was vicious. She was just asking to be molested. I'm not that evil, though. Screams of restraint are a turn off for me.
I opened my eyes again, it had gotten dark out. How long had she been in my head?
I thought of that cheesy pick-up line, 'Your legs must be tired from running around my mind all night.'. It seemed to be, unwillingly, true. I kept thinking about how she ran away as if her life depended on it. If I wanted to, I could've chased after her. She wasn't that fast.
I should have chased after her.
