AN: Yeah, so you may have noticed a few members missing...? Sorry about that. Like I said, I'm not that into KPOP and I only chose the favorite members of my 2 cousins and my sister. In this chapter, you'll learn about Kayal and Jimin's back story. Enjoy!
Sorry K, I haven't written anymore.

Nightfall couldn't come faster. While the boys from BTS were enjoyable to be around, they did get real annoying real quick. Barely even an hour into their trek, they had all started to complain. It was little things like hunger, or they were tired, or something touched their boot...
The only reason they kept going was because they didn't want to be any place without Kayal; it was too dangerous and they understood that.
But that didn't stop them from loudly voicing their complaints.
Kayal had to physically restrain herself from pulling her hair out. One more day with them and she'll probably kill them before killing herself.

"Mistress of Light and Dark, Dawn and Dusk, dear Azura of Balance. Keep us safe tonight from those with the intent to harm. Guide us safely to our goal, come the morn."
Kayal kisses her necklace and tucks it back inside her clothes. Then she works on gathering bits of wood for the fire.
She's been at it for almost ten minutes when there's a snap of a twig behind her. She drops her armful of fire fuel and whirls around to face her perpetrator, glass daggers out and ready for action.
Jimin stands there, having dropped his twigs in favor of holding his hands up in surrender. "Please don't kill me!" he cries.
Kayal sighs in relief and sheaths her daggers, internally pushing her panic away. She touches her necklace for a brief moment before lowering herself to gather the dropped twigs while Jimim bends down to gather his.
"Make some more noise next time." she tells him, "I could have killed you."
"I'll keep that in mind." Jimin mumbles.
"Is there a reason you're not with your friends?"
Jimin is quiet for a while, mostly unsure of why he came to find her. Then he says, "I'm curious."
"Curious?" Kayal repeats, "About what?"
"You."
Kayal pulls herself to her feet and looks him over carefully, waiting for him to clarify.
"The women in BTS, they're not like you." Jimin tells her, "They're not warriors."
"They're not warriors in Moonfell either." Kayal replies. "Just me and my sister." My sister, the queen, she doesn't add.
"So you're like an assassin? Of Moonfell?" Jimin asks, eyes glowing with interest.
Kayal rolls her eyes. "Not quite." she says, but Jimin seems invested in the idea.
"And you're on a mission?" he asks and continues before Kayal can answer, "What for? Are you going to kill the king of AH?"
Kayal snorts. "Of course not. I'm not suicidal." she says, "AH is on a treaty with our sister kingdom of Shadowvale. And the queen's cousin sits on the throne there."
"Oh. I hadn't thought about that." he sighs, "So, I guess your land and my land is not on friendly terms, huh?"
"They're not allies. But they're not enemies." Kayal says, "I'm sure BTS can defend itself. They've got both the kingdoms of Shinee and EXO as allies, don't they?"
