Chapter 1

I walked into school, monday morning at 7:20 in the morning! Ugh I really do hate school, I wouldn't hate it as much if started later.

Everyone was doing what they always do on Mondays, talk about the party's that happen over the weekend. Who hooked up with who, who found their mates blah blah, I walked up to my locker putting in my locker combination, I wasn't really that pretty, my mom always tells me don't think that way ,that your beautiful. I don't really know, I'm about 5'5 tall with long black hair that came to the middle of my back, with dark blue eyes just like my fathers ,everyone says I'm a spitting image of him.

I belonged to the dark moon pack, being the alphas only daughter my two older brothers were very protective of me, not letting many boys around me besides Tyler my best friend since birth. In my pack we get our wolves at the age of 15 so we can be ready for our mates when we turn 18 and be able to get a good control of our wolf.

My wolf was a pitch black just like the rest of my family's I was the second smallest compared to my mom, but bigger then the rest of the packs wolves due to having alpha blood in me. Even tho I lacked in size my speed made up for it I was the fastest wolf in the pack . Now your probably thinking if she's a alpha then why doesn't he notice her? I make him not notice me, I stay away from him, admire him from a far, I guess you would call me a stalker but if I'm his mate then it doesn't count right? How i know he's my mate? My grandfather, he's a crazy old man who has  the ability to feel the connection between to wolves and know if they are  mates. Did I believe him? Kinda, he's never been wrong about these kind of things. I guess we'll just find out on my 18th birthday.

I grabbed my math book out of my locker and the stuff that I would need for that class, as Tyler walked up to my locker with couple of his friends." Hey skeeter". Yes my name sadly is skeeter, god only knows why I got stuck with that name, my mom said it was my great granddad's name , I even asked her why couldn't it be my middle name. she would get upset with me telling Me That I shouldn't be ashamed of my name, that he was one of the best alphas in North America. I never bring it up anymore, what's the point? She always says the same thing.

" Hey did you hear that Sammy went into labor? And that she had a little girl name Vivian?" Tyler asked me leaning into the locker next to mine, " no I didn't, so I'm guessing we're getting out early today for the ritual." We had our own school for us werewolves guess what it was called, yep dark moon high school, but we call it D.M high school for short. The humans thought it was short for the guy who built but it really wasn't.

" Yep we're getting dismissed in a hour so I honestly think it's pointless to be even having school!" Jared said while yawning

" I'm with you I rather be running or practicing for my competition for next month! " I confessed closing my locker then leaning against it, I'm in dance always been since I was 2, my mom thought it would be good for me to Interact with humans at such a young age, my father on the other side thought it was pointless, " why does she have to interact with humans when she's going to become the future alpha?" My dad always argued with my mom about me being around Humans, even to this day.

We'll I wasn't exactly the next alpha, it goes Damon, Drake then me so honestly I didn't have to worry about anything for a long time, thank god.

I said good bye to the boys and started to walk to my first block, someone rammed right into me.
" I'm so sorry skeeter".
I froze knowing that voice we'll, my back stiffened my wolf yipping In my mind. Blain that's his name, my mate I ground in my head wishing my wolf would stop," uh it's okay" I said quickly trying to walk around him before I could get out this situation he grabbed my wrist little bolts of energy ran up my arm, praying to god that he didn't feel it. I quickly jerked my hand away from him, he dropped my hand looking confused on why I would do that.
" I'll see you later at the run?" There was a tone behind his voice making me want to look up at him and see what was going on through his mind, I fought the urge keeping my head low.

" Yeah see ya" I quickly said and walked away from him, I prayed he didn't feel the sparks between us, don't get me wrong I've always wanted the mate connection, being loved unconditionally knowing there would always be someone there for me through everything life threw at me. But god damn was I nervous, I had no experience what's so ever when I came to boys. 

I know as soon as I turn 18 he's going to now and that is in two days, I sat in my seat not caring to talk to anyone at the moment still shocked that I ran into him well he ran into me actually, he looked so handsome today in simple black shirt dark jeans and his leather jacket, it should be against the law to be that good looking!

So here's the situation with both of the packs you may ask well if I'm going to be the alpha someday and Damon is in the line for it, how is blain the next alpha as well? Well with the land our packs never could figure out a border line for the both of us and this goes way back in ancient times, we don't have any issues this way. the alphas of each group controls there wolves, why don't we just combine both packs? We would but we're waiting for someone from both packs to be mates and that's were me and blain come in and it's the most important thing in my life well that's what I've been told for the past three years. Yes I've known about blain for three years and he has never known anything.
