This One Summer

May Greene

May Greene. She was beautiful. I knew it. She knew it.
She was my best friend. We have been friends ever since our last year of middle school. Now we are sophomores in highschool about to be juniors.

Her parents don't really give a shit about her and are going on a vacation all summer without her, so today I'm going to ask her if she wants to spend the summer with me. I know she's gonna say yes, because who wants to spend their whole summer alone? The bell rings to go inside the school and I meet up with May at her locker. We're at school! How does she still manage to dress up and look good? (Not that I have a problem with it)

"Hey hey hey!" I say to May as I approach her locker. "Hey Eden" she says."Hey um I was wondering if you wanna spend the summer with me? I'm going to the beach once school is out. You care to join?" Ugh I love the way she stares at me when I talk to her. Her eyes look so pretty. When she stares for a while you can start to see little specks of green in her eyes. "Of course I wanna go! Let me just ask my parents when I get home." She laughs at her statement knowing her parents wouldn't care. I love it when she laughs because she has perfect teeth. "Ok cool. I'll meet up with you at your locker when school is out and I'll give you a ride to your place so you can get your stuff." I say. " ok yeah sounds good! May says as she closes her locker. We both head off to class. "Ugh she's so great." I think to myself.
