When we got to the parking lot, we were both out of breath from running around from being high on sugar and laughing at the same time. We get to the car and both get inside. We head back to the beach house and just chill for the rest of the day. I'm laying on the couch scrolling through my Instagram feed, when May comes over and lays her head in my lap. "Umm what are you doing?" I ask her with a confused look on my face. "I'm laying in your lap!" She says." As she sits up to make eye contact with me. "Well I know that...but why did you lay in my lap?" I ask her.
"Well aren't we a thing now?" She replied. "Umm I don't know if we're a thing. Is that what you want?" I nervously ask her. "Yeah that's what I want. Only if you want that too." She says. "Of course that's what I want! But I'm just kind of surprised that that's what you want too. I never thought you'd like a girl like me." I said. "You're right. My heart sunk. "I'd love a girl like you. I was thinking you wouldn't love a girl like me. I thought you like that girl Gennavieve. It broke my heart thinking that my crush was just slipping away from me." May says as tears form in her eyes
"No baby. I would never fall for a girl like her. She was just an excuse so you wouldn't find out I like you." I say as I sit up and wipe the tears from her face. "Wh-what did you just call me?" She asks. "I called you baby. I just said it on instinct. I'm sorry." I say. "You don't have to be sorry. It was cute!" She says. "Well so if we're both on the same pageee..." I say. "Yesss..." She says. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I. Nervously ask her. "YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES!" she squeals as she leans forward and gives me a hug. Then we cuddle for a while. It was the perfect ending to the perfect day. Ugh I love May so much.
