Carlynn's P.O.V.
"Honey, you're not going to school today," my dad says to my surprise. He always tells me that I have to go to school no matter what, so I get worried quickly.
"Dad, what are you talking about? It's Monday. As in a school day," I say. He isn't making any sense.
"You are going to be staying with some friends of mine for a while."
"If this is some kind of joke it's not funny dad," I say seriously.
"It's not a joke. You are leaving tomorrow."
"Why are you sending me away to some random family?! Why can't I stay here with you," I question.
"I will tell you in time. All you need to know right now is that I love you and you are going to be staying there for a while. You should start packing."
"Whatever," I say as I walk up the stairs to my room. How could he do this to me? To his own child? And he won't even give me a logical explanation. My eyes start to water up and I start crying.
About ten minutes later I stop crying and decide to call Lisa. Lisa has been my best friend since forever ago. She's the only person I can talk to. I tap on Lisa's name on my phone and it starts ringing. On the fourth ring she answers.
"Hey, Lynny! You're almost late for school," Lisa answers cheerfully. I'm gonna miss her so much.
"I'm not going to school today," I say as my eyes start watering.
"OMG what's wrong?! You sound like you've been crying!" I can here the worry in her voice.
"I'm alright. There's no need to worry Lis."
"I'm ditching school today and coming to your place! And don't protest because I know something's wrong and you are going to tell me!" She hangs up. 30 minutes later she's in my room with ice cream and seasons 1-3 of The Vampire Diaries. We can watch TVD over and over again without getting tired of it at all. "You are going to tell me what happened, we are going to cry over it together, then we are going to obsess over how hot Stefan, Damon, and Klaus are while we eat this ice cream."
I laugh "You are the best best friend ever." She comes over and sits on the bed and I tell her everything that my dad told me. We cry together for about 22 minutes and start watching TVD. After we get done watching the first 15 episodes it's 10:00 P.M.
"I should start packing." I say, as I get up and go to my closet. I grab 3 suitcases. Lisa helps me put my clothes and shoes in the first two and accessories and toiletries in the third one.
"I'm gonna miss you a lot Lynny." We both start crying and then she hugs me.
"I'm gonna miss you too Lis. You're like the sister I never had."

Carlynn's P.O.V.
I wake up to find Lisa on the floor and the TVD theme song playing on my TV. I laugh as I turn off the TV and go downstairs to get some breakfast.
Today is my last day here so dad is making a big breakfast for Lisa and me. I not angry with my dad anymore, I'm just sad that I have to leave the town I grew up in. Lisa runs down the stairs and sits by me at the kitchen table.
"Why are you in such a hurry," I ask, laughing at her childishness
"I smell bacon," she says like it should be obvious.
"Well," my dad begins, putting plates in front of Lisa and me, "you're just on time."
We spend the next 30 minutes eating and talking before I go up to my room. I take a quick shower, dry my hair, get dressed, put makeup on, and do my hair. I go downstairs with my suitcases and drive to the airport.
