The wave of photons washing over her face, as she yearned to caress his neck with soft and gentle fingertips, tinted her as a spring rose. Her whole face shone as if she was made of sweet treats available to few and enjoyed to far fewer. " sweetie how'd you sleep. " she asked while slipping her arms around his waist to embrace him. " I was next to you honey. It was exceptional. "He turned to her and pulled her in for a kiss. She quickly countered and caught his lips with her finger. " uhh not this early someone needs to fix that breath. " He removed her hand and gripped her hip to hug her into his chest. She never could resist an opportunity to bury her face in his chest. It was the weakness she had developed on their long journey here. " I'll go freshen up then make breakfast. " jet sarcastically rolled his eyes then winked back at her. She blushed. Carli adored how spoiled she felt while in his warm gaze. It was nearly enough to change her opinion of herself. She could never love herself completely but when she was near him she saw herself through his eyes. All her desirable qualities were magnified in the reflection from his deep brown eyes. All the things she couldn't stand about herself seemed tolerable. The time she spent relishing in her happiness sped the hour along. He returned with a platter of foods meant for two. A pair of forks of one from gold and one of pyrite. They dined and the sun steadily rose over their bed contained breakfast date. The lake water shimmered and transcribed the shapes of nearby planets that floated in the sky. Their features slightly warped due to the water's refraction. In that water not all was as it seemed. Jet's eyes met Carli's as did their lips before they departed hand in hand for the lake. Carli was yet to assure herself of jet's opinion of her. She hears him say daily " you're beautiful as you are." It never could change the conclusion her retinas and neurons concocted when she appears to herself before mirror. Jet picked up on her hesitant nature the closer they got to the water front. His shirt removed, he lay back into this inviting liquid abode. While resurfacing, he threw his head back to aid in brushing his hair aside but also to douse his love with water. Carli flinched as each droplet's impact was made aware to her brain. He smiled and waved her in. She nervously inched her toes then shins until finally her waist was in the water. Jet slid under water and emerged to scoop her legs up and carry her to the deep water. " I realized you can't quite stand out here so I'll carry you. " She practically melted internally. Externally was of a different demeanor. " I don't need you to carry me. I'm fine love. " she craved to display affection for his deed yet lacked the knowledge of that process's details. She pried his enamored arms away from her only to notice the depth of the lake was much deeper than she could handle. Before she could realize the water swallowed her tiny person and tried to whisk her away. Jet snagged her wrist and yanked her above water again. " I tried to warn you now come here." He pulled her close again and kissed her forehead before wading back to shore. He allowed her to walk in the shallow end and he held her hand as they walked from the door to the kitchen. " Hungry love?"
