Kim Taehyung.

The name that makes Jeon Jungkook's heart flutter in so many different ways.

He loves the guy so much that he sees him perfectly even with all his flaws. Taehyung loves him the same way as well. They could've been the greatest couple.

Could have been.

There's just one problem. Taehyung can't confess to his family that he's gay. He was ashamed of his identity or at least that's what he told Jungkook.

Jungkook, with his unconditional love for the older man, didn't seem to mind. It doesn't matter to him as long as he has Taehyung's heart and attention.

"Tae, ten years from now can you still see us together?" Jungkook asked.

They were in the suburbs of Busan just listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore and the birds' humming with their hands intertwined as they was walk along the fine sand waiting for the sun to set.

"Of course Kookie! I promise to stay with you forever, right?" Taehyung assured Jungkook as he stole a peck from the younger's lips.

Jungkook was already blushing at the sound of his pet name that Taehyung gave but when the latter met his lips, even though it was short-lived, his heart was still hammering violently on his ribcage.

Two and a half years of togetherness and it still felt like they've just dated recently. Their fire was still burning and sparks were still flying with their eyes still glued on each other almost all the time like crazy.

"Tae!" Jungkook whined out of embarrassment.

He still wasn't used to Taehyung's public display of affection. Not that he doesn't like it but he was just naturally shy.

"What? Can't I kiss my boyfriend now?" Taehyung laughed as he stole another peck from Jungkook's lips.

Taehyung's laughter was music to Jungkook's ears. Even though it was dangerous for him to feel too much emotions he didn't care as long as it was Taehyung who makes him feel that way.

Jungkook has been diagnosed when he was ten. For a decade he was living with such condition.

Although, surgery success rates are high, Jungkook's case was rare. Two surgeries and he was still sick. Taehyung was aware of it all.

"I love you Jeon Jungkook and I promise to give you my heart eternally!" Taehyung suddenly shouted gaining the other people's attention.

"Shut up Tae!" Jungkook let go of Taehyung's hands and walked away out of utter shame.

Sure he feels butterfly when Taehyung did that but he was too timid. He doesn't want people judging Taehyung. He doesn't want anyone labelling his lover as 'gay' knowing the fact that Taehyung can hardly accept his own self.

Jungkook was just three steps away from Taehyung when the older guy grabbed his wrist and spun him around welcoming him with his supple lips and warmest hug. The younger guy was too stunned to respond.

"Jeon Jungkook, I want you to know that I am not ashamed to shout to the world how much I love you. Sure I can't tell my family yet but we'll get there. I promise you we will get there." Taehyung assured Jungkook and it made Jungkook feel at ease.

"Tae, I'm sorry my donor's parents have to schedule my heart transplant surgery today. It's supposed to be our third anniversary." Jungkook was nearly crying in his hospital gown lying weakly on the hospital bed but his hand still managed to hold Taehyung's face.
