A girl, only of the age of two, lay on a metal table.
She had been prepared for surgery, injected with a sedative that had no effect on the girl's state of mind.
Sensing the eerie, quiet feel of the hospital she stayed silent. She knew what sedatives were, and didn't move, resisting the urge to scratch under the itchy hospital gown.
The doctor was washing the tools, and turned to the young girl who lay stock still for the fear of being discovered.
The doctor cut open her foot, the girl didn't even wince. She had been numbed by the injection and felt only a slight tingle when she was cut.
The doctor was working when the door flew open. A nurse, or to be more specific, the doctor's girlfriend, stumbled in clutching a bouquet of roses addressed to the doctor.
She stomped towards him, wobbling. She was a mere few feet away, when she tripped on a bloody utensil. The utensil the doctor had used, but dropped when he was startled by the door.
The roses went flying, and a petal landed on the girl's open foot.
"Magic" She whispered, on impulse. The voice sounded so sure, so happy.
You may not know this, but magic is harboring in your body. Magic has always been in you, in everything and everyone. Enough magic to keep you alive, but too little to use in a... dangerous manner.
Little Sienna had more magic than most, meaning she's naturally stronger, wiser, and/ or prettier than others. But the rose, connecting with her 'inner' self, set off the magic in a way that was never meant to be.
When you were little, everything was magic, right? That was because you didn't know anything, and the magic in you was raw, powerful and clean, learning along with you, molding you into the person you are.
This raw, clean magic in Sienna was combined with the magic of life and nature. It swirled inside of her, giving her a drowsy feeling. She drifted into unconsciousness...
