Ezra got his sea-legs rather quickly. The ship sailed for the small island of Tortuga, and made port. They got out and went to the tavern. There they saw many other pirates and, as the British would call them, scum. They stopped by a booth which held an elderly, bald man with a white beard and mustache and another man who looked like he was from the Philippines. Kanan talked to the man in a hushed voice. A few minutes later, he emerged and said that they were to convene on the dock to meet their new crew tomorrow.

The next day, there were a few people on the docks who were recruited by the two men. They made rounds to learn names. The elder man simply called himself Rex and the Philippine called himself Jun Sato. With them were three other men. The first one had shoulder length hair and mutton chops whose name was Kallus. The next one had dark skin, a bald head, and a dark beard and mustache. His name was Saw Gerrera. The last one was white, had medium brown hair and dark blue eyes. He was Caesar Mackson(OC).

"Well," Kanan said, "this is the single most worthless group of dogs that I have ever come across. I like you all."

"Uh," Caesar said, "I only came for the rum and the promise of a woman, so can we get going?"

"All in due time. But first, we need to know how to find the Ghost."

Caesar pulled out a parchment that, when opened up, was blank. He explained that it was enchanted by Calypso to find any ship in the world. He wrote the Ghost down on the parchment with ink. The ink formed out of the letters and into a map. The Ghost was heading for the Virgin Isles. Everyone got onto the ship they dubbed the Phantom and on the trail of the Ghost.

On the Ghost, Sabine was eating a few bananas while Hondo just looked at her uninterested in her other than for the medallion. He tried making small conversation with her, but she was not interested in small talk.

"Why do you need the medallion?" she asked him.

Hondo got up from the table and walked over to a map of the world.

"Phoenixes are interesting creatures." he said.

"What does that have to do with-"

"Let me finish," he said, "this will lead somewhere. As I said, phoenixes are interesting creatures. So long as they burn into their ashes from the previous times, they never die."

"I know that. Everyone does."

"Ah, but did you know that they are also a rather greedy bird?" he stroked Cuba. "On one voyage, my crew and I happened across one's treasure horde. There we each took one piece of the treasure for ourselves. However, we did not know that the bird had cursed the treasure to where no one could take any treasure without being cursed themselves. We found this out when we started selling all of the treasure. For many years we have been collecting the treasure, returning it with an additional price. Blood. Yet that medallion there, is the last piece. Once we return it along with some of your blood, we will no longer be cursed."

Sabine had to keep herself from laughing at the ridiculous tale.

"I'll give you the medallion, but if you could return me to Port Royal, I would really appreciate it."

She walked outside and saw that there was still the fog bubble around the Ghost. Hondo waved his hand and the fog lifted, revealing the Sun. Once the rays began hitting the crew, they began burning. Literally, their bodies turned into human torches. Sabine then knew Hondo wasn't joking. He emerged from the cabin, slowly stepping into the light.

"Now you see," he said, "we have been like this for three years." His feet were now on fire. "Any light from the sky that hits us directly, whether it be sun, moon, or starlight, we turn into human phoenixes." Now his body and arms. "If you don't believe in curses, ghosts, or enchantments, you had better start." his whole body was in the light, burning. "Because now, Miss Bridger, you have seen it first hand."

Sabine ran back inside. Hondo waved his hand and the fog returned, extinguishing the flames.

"Back to work." he called to the crew.
