"Next on San Francisco News Daily..." I wasn't listening to the tv. I was spaced out. My cat, Twink was playing with a loose thread of my grey, Taylor Swift hoodie. It was big on me, which wasn't an accident. I learned that if I wanted to steal my boyfriends clothes without having a boyfriend, buying them myself was the way to go. He would never ask for them back because, well, they're mine.
"I think that's enough tv for tonight. Huh Twink?" He meowed back. I reached for the remote and as I did, my friend, Cheryl called my matte black iPhone. "It's midnight." I said to myself. "What could she want?" I picked up the phone and asked, "Hey, Cheryl. What's up?"
"Where are you?" She asked me, sounding confused.
"Uh.. at home, as always. Why?" I replied. I was trying to think why she thought I was anywhere else.
"Really? Come on Jenna! It's a Friday night and you never come out! I'll come get you and we can go to the bar, maybe find you a guy, because you know, you need one."
"What? No I don't! I'm a strong independent wo-"
"Jenna! You've started buying guys clothes! You've reached an all time low!!"
"They're comfy... And no! I have to sleep! I have that interview tomorrow! Remember?"
"Ugh. You're such a buzzkill. Okay. Sleep. But we're going out tomorrow night!"
"Sure." I said sarcastically. "You'll have to get in my house first!"
"Challenge accepted!" She told me. "See you tomorrow!" Then I hung up. I love Cheryl, I really do, but she gets on my nerves sometimes. And I really did have to sleep. I have an interview tomorrow with a daycare called "Kiddy Kare." I don't really like kids, but if I'm paid, I'll do anything.
I grabbed a glass of water and my phone and marched upstairs. I needed sleep. If a 23 year old woman showed up to an interview for a job she doesn't want with no sleep, it wouldn't be pretty. Once I reached my room, I took off my makeup and pulled my hair into a messy bun. I stripped off my clothes in my preparation for sleep. I always sleep naked. It gives me more room to move and when I wake up, I always feel more energized.
The next morning I went to my interview. It didn't go so well. Long story short, the fact that I don't like kids accidentally got out and then I ended up cussing out the lady. So that set my mood for the day.
I got home at 1 and napped because I figured that if Cheryl really did come tonight, I'd want some rest before we went out. I woke up at 5 and ate while sitting in front of the tv watching The Walking Dead. I wasn't really paying attention, I was thinking about how it would be to have a serious relationship. I haven't been in one since highschool. It's been a while.
As I was thinking, I heard the doorbell ring. I checked, and it was Cheryl. "No way am I letting you in!" I yelled. "I am not in the mood for going out tonight!" And with that, she walked away.
"That was easy," I thought to myself. And I started thinking again. Only to be interrupted by a sharp and quick, "Get off your lazy ass Jenna!"
"Cheryl! You scared the shit out of me what the fuck is wrong with you? And how'd you get in??"
"Oh Jenna," she giggled, "you should know this by now! Everything is wrong with me! And since you didn't let me in, I came in through the fire escape." Keep in mind I live in an apartment complex. ON THE 7th FLOOR. "Guess you're going out!" She told me.
"I guess so."
"Now get up! It's almost 7:30 and we have to be out by 9! Ooh! I'm gonna get you a guy! We are gonna get you in a cute little black dress and stilettos and you're gonna look bomb as fuck and everyone will be all over you!
"Greaaaaaat." I said with a big sarcastic grin.
"Come on!"About an hour later, we were both ready. I had my blonde, glossy hair up in a high ponytail and wore studded diamond earrings. Cheryl put me into a figure fitting black dress that, I'll admit, made me look sexy. I matched it with a pair of 3 inch gold stilettos that would stand out in any crowd.
Cheryl wore a red glossy bralette and a booty-hugging red glossy miniskirt. She had 6 inch black stilettos which made her and I the same height. We headed out at 8:40and got to the bar at 9. Before we got in, Cheryl told me, "When we get in, I'll go find a couple thirsty guys looking for hot babes like us." We both chuckled. Then we walked in.
As I walked through the door, the A.C. blew in my face and made it look as if I were in a movie. As I looked around, I saw a guy. A guy I'd never seen before. Dark black hair, light blue eyes. Killer body and one hell of a jawline. He was wearing a fitted white T-Shirt and blue jeans. Hair spiked up with gel. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Then, he turned. He saw me. And we locked eyes. Even from 25 feet away, I could see right passed his sky blue eyes, deep into his soul. He was simply gorgeous.
Without breaking our mesmerizing eye contact, I told Cheryl, "No need to look. I've found my guy."
