Back when my sister and I went to Elementary school we shared the same classes, it was always a lot of fun. It was a Thursday, the last day of school for the week so we were anxious to go home. However, I was in my last period class for the day, Drama class. My music teacher was having us practice what we had learned the day before, "The Candy Man". After practicing very little an announcement was made on the inner coma, something along the lines of, "We are going to lockdown, code black". Our music teacher had this room that was off to the side, he brought us into that room. My sister and I were very scared because we knew that it was real and that it wasn't a drill this time, our classmates were just as scared as we were. The room that he had brought us to had a lot of books and very little music equipment, it was quite small. He shut the door after all of the kids got into the room and he pressed his back up against the door while he sat down in front of it. He told us to all be quiet and to not make any noise, and so we did. A few minutes had passed by but it felt like an hour, someone was at the door and my teacher was saying "What's the code"? and whoever was out there told him the code, it was just another teacher. The teacher that was outside of the door was telling him that everything is okay and that we can come out now. School let out so everyone was leaving for home, there was a huge line of parents outside of the school wanting to know what was going on, why nobody would let them see their kids, it was horrible. None of the teachers would tell us what had happened, why we were in lockdown but later on I found out. Some guy was in the parking lot and he had climbed out of a car window and he was heavily armed, he was shooting randomly at things but what he intended to do, I have no idea. It was very scary for me and my sister, most likely for everyone at that school. I am over it now and I am now in high school.
