" Breakfast in ten minutes austin, you'd better be out of bed!"

Hearing his mom's call only a grimaced his mood further as he made his way downstairs. He tied his white tennis shoes at the bottom of the stairs before strolling lazily into the kitchen. He had come out to his parents the day before. And well...they hadn't taken it the way he had hoped..growing up in a Christian family wasn't an easy task for a boy who didn't exactly walk the straight line. He plopped down in a chair and started in on the eggs and bacon his mom had maid for him, the look of disapproval, maybe disappointment still flowing from his father's sharp silver eyes. He couldn't and wouldn't look at him. His father had been more than angry at his sons confession, and refused to accept it.

" austin.." his father's voice was low as he called him to attention.

" are you sure your...you know...for.."

" yes, father. I'm sure. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm sure, I've been sure, for a long time. This, what your doing right now, is why I hadn't told you before." He glared up at the man

" and lecturing me on how I'm going to burn in hell...isn't gonna change my Sexuality dad.."

His father stood silent for a moment before turning and shaking his head as he took a sip of coffee.

His mother just stood there silently.

He finished off his breakfast and headed for the door, not bothering with a goodbye to either of them. His little sister, skyler stopped him.

"Austin...I support you.."

His eyes widened a bit, she must have overheard last night. He cast his look downward and smiled a bit before looking back up at her.

" thanks skyler...you have no idea how much that means....especially with dad's ' gays ok as long as it's not my kids' mindset"

They both share a chuckle before heading out to walk to school

The school day was a long one, the rain outside patterning agianst the roof made it easy to doze off, wich he did, multiple times before the bell rang to dismiss everyone to their homes, wich he had dreaded all day. At least at school no one looked at him differently. It took him a bit but, he felt something was off as soon as he got to his neighborhood. He stopped skyler, putting an arm in front of her.

" what?..what's wrong?..look I know you don't want to go home bu-"

He cut her off. .

" look at mister mallow..."

He motioned toward his neighbor, a once proud navy veteran who had once tried to convince his father to send him to a military school.

He was, ..growling? ...groaning?..
