“Ohmigod,” she muttered as Niall smiled at her. She probably looked horrible, her makeup was most likely running again, and she was sure her eyes would be red and puffy. “Um, hi, um, I am Callie McNaught,” she managed to squeak out. She didn’t want to fangirl him, and she really wasn’t in the mood to either. “I’m Niall Horan,” he replied hastily, I know! she thought, “but you still haven’t answered my question, are you okay?” his face was serious as he looked at her, Callie felt like he could see right through her, and knew everything about her life, her memories. His crystal-like blue eyes shone in the late afternoon light, making them seem even more amazing. “Um, no, actually, but it’s okay,” she said softly, “it was to meet you,” looking down at the scarred path, “but I better go home,” she lied, she really didn’t want to leave, but she didn’t want to bother Niall, “but thanks for asking, bye,” she gave him a fake smile and waved. Callie walked, pulling her sleeves down at her wrists to cover up her scars, but she was stopped again. “No Callie McNaught, I can see you need someone to talk to, and I really don’t care what you say, even though I just met you. You seem nice, just tell me what happened, I have all the time in the world!” Niall bounded. “Fine, just one question, why are you in a deserted path, in a random suburb, in London?” Callie said hesitantly, searching his face for an answer. “Well my love, I come for a walk down this path sometimes just when I need a break from the world. Nobody knows I am here, because as you said, it’s a deserted path in a random suburb in London,” Niall justified himself, grinning at Callie.
“Okay, so this is what happened…” Callie caved in on Niall’s sweet smile, telling the whole story of what happened with her, Brad and her ‘friend’, him listening intently as she felt like she rambled on for hours. “Wow, he’s such a jerk! Who would ever hurt a pretty girl like you?” he said looking down at his shoes, then back into Callie’s brown eyes. “So you sure you will be okay Callie, like tonight?” Niall asked her with a worried look spread across his face. “Yeah, it’s Friday anyway so I have the whole weekend to get over it,” she smiled shyly, happy to see he actually cared. “Well, maybe if you’re not busy or something...” Niall looked around to see if there was anyone around, but it was dead silent, “maybe you could come and hangout with me and some of my friends? I’m pretty sure you know who they are already though” he smirked, scanning Callie’s face.
“Um, well, sure okay!” Callie responded, she felt like screaming, oh my god I am going to meet the boys and hang out with them, her mind buzzed of thoughts, she especially was looking forward to seeing Niall again. “Around about, let’s say..” Niall looked down at his watch, it read 4.16. Shit, it had already been an hour! That went fast, she thought smiling. “What about half-past five?” Callie interrupted Niall, and looked into his eyes, making contact but she didn’t look away.
“Sounds great! I will pick you up.” Niall waved her off as she entered her house. “OH MY FUCKING GOD!” she squealed running up the stairs to her room, the worst day of her life was turning into the best.
