(Transformers fanfic) Broken spark

(I'm bored again so I decided to another thing with me, some day I'm gonna do a tfp or tf rid thing :T)

Sideswipe onlined his optics ready for the day. Online, eat energon, train, go on a mission, and then go to sleep. That was his routine. A boring one in his opinion but could he change it? Not really.

Ever since he told Prowl of his desire to grow stronger he's been on a right schedule. Fighting and training everyday. Sometimes he forgot to refuel. Other times it was forgotten to bathe. Of course it didn't matter with his sickness.

A knock made him jump out of his thoughts and look to the door. "Sideswipe, better be up and ready" Prowl's muffled voice said from behind the door. Sideswipe groaned and got up walking to the door slightly ready for anything. He opened it to receive no daily attack from prowl. "I'm taking you to see ratchet of your condition."

Sideswipe blinked in surprise, but understood why. He had been...sick. Deadly sick. He was always starved even with his tank full of energon. He grew a bit slim and started to have spark pains. Yet his strength grew with each punch or kick he threw.

Once they arrived to Ratchet he was greeted by a medical berth. "Sit" Ratchet said softly. There wasn't the usual grumpy medic Sideswipe and his brother loved to prank. Ratchet had sympathy for sideswipe. Knowing his condition was deadly. Knowing he could pass to the all spark on a berth that Ratchet made for him.

Sure Ratchet hated sideswipe when he played his games. But Ratchet doesn't want his young spark to fade to nothing. It wouldn't be fair.

Sideswipe lay in the berth weak. He let out a cough as Ratchet scanned him. "It hurts..." Sideswile coughed in a raspy voice. "Aren't you suppose to to make it feel better...?"

"I'm doing the best I can I promise" Ratchet sighed as he opened Sideswipe's upper body armor and took a look of his insides.

Ratchet's optics widened as he spotted the problem. "What's wrong with him Ratchet?" Prowl asked as he walked closer cautiously.

"I-it's his spark"  Ratchet stuttered.

"It's cracked."
