Headphones in, world out. That has always been my mentality. I jog around my small town of Glen Ridge, New Jersey. I was born in Manhattan, but I moved here when I was two so I have basically lived here all my life. As I approach my house, I see the moving truck and darkness begins to creep in on me. The new neighbors have arrived. Just last month, I was sitting in my tree house in my backyard with my best friend, Daren, but of course as soon as we confess our love for each other, he moves for his father's job. Here I am one month later with new neighbors enjoying the house that is full of so many memories that can no longer be made.
The next thing I know I'm tripping into the grass.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you coming!" the teenage boy laughs.
He's gorgeous. He has hazel eyes and a strong build. His brown hair is gelled to spike his hair.
"No really I'm fine," I blush, "I didn't watch where I was going."
"I didn't catch your name, do you live around here?" he asks,
"My name is Maddie, that's my house," I point,
"I just moved in next door!" He beams,
He has a beautiful smile.
"Oh!" thoughts of Daren begin to creep into my mind, "Well I'll see you around," I turn on my heel and quickly walk away trying to escape the handsome boy in front of me
"By the way I'm Cameron," He calls after me, "see you around!"
