As we grow up, our idea of loving develops as well. The explanation I found is simple, just like a game: in the first level (when you start acknowledging what it is like the get affection for someone), it is all very clear, natural and lucid. The game play is a bed of roses, in other words, love means mom, dad, and cartoons. Therefore, games has levels and so does the liking. Plus, those start to get harder and harder. Imagine 1-10 stages: the number 5 is the one you start realizing that Love is something that goes beyond only your parents and cartoons, although they are very important definition of caring. Affection, pleasure, desire, passion and warmth. These nouns, it can not be given to you by your guardians, they can not give it to you in a satisfaction way. So here starts the searches. From 5 to 10, you will struggle, battle, conflict and there will be things that will become tougher. Consequently, everything starts to get unclear. Why do mankind goes after love if it brings nothing but pain? Why keep struggling if each thing goes wrong? Here is where you start to realize that you are at stage 10. The hardest division of the game. You look back and watch all the path you have traveled... This is the time where you believe that there is something more than pain; and you want to complete that stage, to finish that rough time you are having because in the end, all the suffering will disappear. Everything you believed in, probably will change, the love you thought you knew the definition about could not be the right or the most perfect one, however, it's yours. Here is the part you don't give up from. That's one of the greatest humankind's gift. To not give up. Love is like that, all about the pain, the crying, the suffering... but in the end, there is nothing more beautiful then looking forward and expecting the best. You will get your repayment: someone who loves you, who is faithful, who cares. These is the part of the game that you say, "I've made it".
