You stepped out the car, closing it behind you. Placing your hands on your hips, you took a good look at the place.
"It seems nice, like Outback back in the States!" You exclaimed, half out of pure astonishment and just to annoy Max because it was an Australian restaurant.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's go in, I'm starving." He mocked you with his hand in your face, moving his fingers up and down imitating you talking.
You swatted his hand away and followed him, Ian and George trailing behind you.
It was dark inside, lit by bright lights on the ceilings and on the walls, booths and tables all over the place. There was even a huge bar circling around a cylinder that had multiple shelves to hold the alcohol and glasses.
Max talked to a woman who lead the four of you to a booth, and held up by metal bars, in front and behind it, a tv playing a random sports channel, silenced but captioned.
You took the seat against the wall, seeing Ian and Max across from you and George on your right. The waitress smiled and sat down the menus in front of you, and took out a notepad and pen.
"Would you like to start off with a drink?" She asked politely.
Max put his elbows and clasped his hands together, looking up at her with a smile. "I'll have a beer." He said.
She wrote it down and looked at Ian. "I'll get a tea."
Writing it down, her glance shifted to you. "Oh! I'll get a um..a sweet tea..." You shyly said.
George looked at you and giggled quietly. "I'll have a beer." He said.
She checked off the drinks and left, leaving the four of you to decide what you were going to order.
You opened the menu, seeing a whole bunch of appetising foods, and desserts. Your mouth watered at the sight.
You all finally decided what you wanted to eat as the waitress came back with your drinks. She set them down and collected your orders, promising to return in 15 minutes.
Within that time, Max and Ian made small talk, as did you and George. Mainly about life at home and background things.
You all dug into your meals when the woman came back, sometimes talking, sometimes insulting playfully, sometimes just eating.
When you all finished, you split the check, each of you getting a free complimentary chocolate on your way out.
You ate yours immediately, loving the taste. Max saved his, Ian gave his to George, and he ate them both in one bite.
"I highkey wanna come here again." You said as the four of you opened the doors to the car.
"Yeah, it was hella fuckin cool here." George agreed as he sat in the back with you.
Getting in the front seat next to Max, Ian nodded his head, pulling down the sun visor.
"Alright, we can come here again, its literally my second time here." Max chuckled as he got in the drivers seat.
He put the keys in the ignition, turning them to start the car. Once it was on, he turned on the air conditioner since it was blazing hot outside and George kept complaining.
You put your seatbelt on, crossing one leg over the other and taking out your phone, groaning when you felt that it was as hot as the pavement outside.
George and Ian put on their seatbelts after he adjusted the air vents, and Max didn't put on his until he was exiting the parking lot.
When Max stopped at the stoplight, he turned to look at Ian on twitter, then scoffed and turned to look back at you and George.
