A flash of black slinks through the alleys this night. It was once known as Spider-man's black costume, a simple garment. Then, in the Baxter building, home of the Fantastic Four, it was revealed to be an alien parasite, fusing with Peter Parker. Now it roams the streets, looking for a way back to its former master. A buissnessman, on his way to work, unknowingly passes the alley that holds the parasite. He will be late for work today. The parasite pounces, wrapping the man head to toe then making him web-swing to a certain Chelsea apartment, the home of Peter Parker. The parasite lands on the rooftop and leaves the unconscious man. It then leaps into an open window and hides in a certain closet, the one of Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-man.
Meanwhile, Peter is out web-swinging across town, and doing mild acrobatics. He leaps into his open window and sleeps exhausted from his battle with the Kingpin.
Sleep does not come easy to this certain hero. As nagging suspicion, that he has forgotten something lurks over him. Hue thinks that some web-swinging will clear the cobwebs. Pulling on his costume, he is yet to notice that the parasite is on him, rather than simple cloth. Swinging out the window, he sets of to the statue of Liberty to clear his head. When he reaches the statue of Liberty, he stops, and reaches to pull of his mask. It doesn't come off.
"What?" He mutters.
Then the parasite wraps around him, trying to take over Peter Parker. Reed Richards got it off before, thought Spider-man as he headed to the Baxter Building. Fighting the costume, he slowly makes his way to the building. But not quite. 3 blocks from the building he is struck by a realization. When he makes it to the Baxter Building it would be too late. The jumps, up to a church bell tower and lies there, remembering that sound drives the costume nuts. The sound causes Peter to lose consciousness. The parasite leaves but stops. It then turns drags peter from the tower. Why did it save Peter? No one may ever know.
