Chapter 4

Jade's POV
I woke up feeling refreshed and energetic for the day, and showered with my favourite lemon scented bath wash and shampoo. Like, since I was little, my mouth has always watered at the thought and smell of a lemon, and when he and I were dating, I started using this shapoo and body wash and never stopped using this because he praised my hair as 'the most fragrant thing I've ever smelt in my life'. Hey... I'm not gonna stop using my fav stuff because of him, am I? I should just feel happy that I smell good. ;)
Today I was in a wonderful mood, so I skipped down the stairs to join my parents for breakfast. I kissed them both good morning on the cheek, then sat down and waited for Mum's outrageously delicious pancakes impatienly.nwhile waiting, I texted Lilly, my new best friend, and made plans for today. We were going shipping!!!
Ravenous, I scoffed down the pancakes in 5, and grinned sheepishly as my parents looked at me in shock.
"You have to learn to eat fast if you want to do business as you don't have a lot of time to eat." I explained and winked. They just shook their heads and smiled a sad smile. "Anyway, do you guys remember Lilly? She's his brother's ex, and it turns out that the same thing happened to both of us. I took it more badly than her though... "I trailed off and looked at my feet nervously. Clearing my throat, I continued. "We met on the plane, and we've decided to go the the 'Yolet Arcade' to shop, catch up and have fun. Actually, we are attempting to make our presence known in Maryland, so that people will see us again and stop thinking that we are weaklings who run from everything. Well, mostly me." I smirked cheekily.
"Of course! Go meet up! But when will you come back? Will you eat by yourselves with Lilly or come to dine with us?" They questioned. "You should invite Lilly if you come back to eat, for sure." They nodded.
I told them to give me a moment to let me ask Lilly.

J: Good morning Lilly! I'm Jade! I wanted to ask when we are gonna meet and where we'll have dinner? My mom is asking, just so you know, about whether I'll eat dinner at the mall or a diner or I'll go back home. You should probably meet my parents, too. What do you think?
L: Oh sure! I'll come! I can't wait to meet your parents! (giggles) Uhh... We can meet at... How about at 10? At the mall?
J: Okay. See you later. Bye!
L: Byaaa!

"She said yes!" I pumped my fist in the air, like a man who has successfully proposed to his loved one. Embarrassed, I slowly put down my fist and looked at my parents. To my surprise, they were doing the same thing too! But instead of JUST pumping the air, and were hugging and laughing in delight. I stared at them as they were so weird, and they slowly stopped hugging each other and screaming, flustered.
"Moving on, I want to ask you guys something. When he comes, don't tell him anything about me, and tell him I don't want to see him. He doesn't know I knew what dirty, hurtful deeds he did, so don't tell him the real reasons why I left. In all honesty, I don't think he even deserves to know why I left him so suddenly, but I know him and he won't stop until he gets the truth out of people, or a reasonable explaination. So, will you guys do me a favour and don't tell him anything? Demand for him to stop coming everyday as well, because I really can't face him." I begged.
They nodded and replied, "We would do anything for you, JJ, so don't worry... Now go and have fun!" They exclaimed, making shoo motions.
I hugged them thanks and went to my room to change and just to get my appearance on fleek and smokin hot. I got into an off the shoulder pink ruffled top from Sixty-Eight and a pair of booty shorts from American Eagle Outfitters, my favourite jean store.
