Lance's POV

After weeks of no downtime and over exerting ourselves, we finally got a day to ourselves. The bad part was that we had to stay within a 15 ft radius of Shiro! I was slightly dejected, but I wouldn't let this ruin my day! I walked sith a beam on my face, and quite a few people noticed.

"Lance, you're smiling like an absolute idiot" Keith sighed, walking slightly ahead of me. My smile went down slightly for half a second, but i brought it back.

"You're just jealous!" I said with a smirk, turning my walk into more of a strut.

"Me? Jealous of you? Thats hilarious" he said with a scoff and turned away. I let those words sink in for a moment, my mood immediately depleting, but I left the smile on my face.

We soon arrived at what seemed to be a local diner, and I was pretty excited, I was starving!

Shiro's POV

We walked into the diner and quickly sat down. Keith and Lance were already beginning to fight, and pidge wouldn't stop looking at all of the tech around us. When i look over at Hunk (praise the golden child) I see that he is ogling at the menu,  and I can already tell he can't decide on one thing,  though that's all that we can afford.

I sigh deeply,  first going to Keith and Lance and trying to split them up. When I finally got them to settle down,  I went to Pidge and actually made her order.

After a few minutes Lance and Keith began to bicker again,  causing me to sigh once more. I see an alien approaching,  and I am deeply hoping it's a server. Turns out it's not.

"it's so nice to see a man who looks after his offspring so well!" me and all of the other paladins freeze, and I panic because I know what's coming.

"DAAAAAAAAAD KEITH KEEPS PUSHING ME" I hear Lance shout, and my face becomes a deep red. I notice that Keith is about to protest.

"what?!? You pushed me first! Dad- I mean Shiro!" soon Keith becomes a brick red, and Lance is in the background laughing with a shit-eating grin on his face while the other two paladins chuckle.

'why am I still alive?' I think while sighing.
