“Please, give me another chance?” He pleaded.
“I don’t believe in second chances, Jason,” I said.
“Jane, listen to me. I-”
“I have been listening, Jason.” I told him as I stood. “But what I’m hearing is things that I don’t want to hear any further.”
“It didn’t mean anything!” He assured me.
“Then why did you do it?”
“I did it because I-”
“You know what?” I yelled. “I don’t care why! We are through!”
“Jane, please-”
“Get out!” I screamed. He stood up, looked at me one last time, and walked through the door and out of my life. Moments later, Lou came down the stairs.
“What was that about?” She asked. I looked up at her with tear-filled eyes and said two words.
“He cheated.”
