High up on Mont Forel, Greenland: Modern day.
Even in mid summer the temperature doesn't exceed more than fifty degrees and the snow never really melts. Near the summit of Mont Forel the temperature is well below freezing. Dr. Naa Ranno, an Egyptian scientist reaches the summit for the third time in the past year. Dr Naa has studied dragon and Wyvern tales since before she even reached the age of ten. Since dragons have never been proven to be real Dr Naa has worked effortlessly her whole life to prove that they are in fact, real. Dr Naa calls herself a Dragonologist. Dragonology is the formal study of creatures known as dragons, past, and present, as well as their conservation. Dragonology is studied by people known as dragonologists, people who do their work with passion.
Dr Naa reaches her crew and removes her goggles as the bright white snow gently swirls around revealing her dark caramel eyes and golden skin. Her black hair flows down the right side of her face into her thick blue winter jacket. Removing her oxygen mask she breathes in the summit air, removing her thick fur coated hood she gazes at her crew working through the heavy mountain rocks and dense snow. A small red tent is pitched with countless oxygen tanks stacked outside, the unusable ones, and countless tanks stacked inside, the usable ones. Frozen wood planks make a huge box shape in the ground as four crew members hack through the stone, one member has a tooth brush and dental equipment as he carefully carves out a small pocket.
Dr Naa makes her way to the work site where her second in command, a Greek man by the name of Iraklis Yanni turns around and removes his mask. His pale white skin almost matches that of the snow around them his eyes are storm grey he is short and stubby and has worked with Dr Naa for nearly a decade.
"It's been three days doctor! We found it three days ago!" Iraklis calls for Dr Naa in excitement standing over the boxed area.
"It better be something good this time, and it better be real." Dr Naa's soft voice replies back calmly.
Iraklis nearly tugs on Dr Naa's arm leading her to the dig site where she freezes staring down in awe.
"Call everyone." Dr Naa says as her legs feel like jello, her voice stutters and she shakes, but not from the cold.
"I already did Doctor, I already did." Iraklis stands over the dig site with his hands on his hips proudly as they both look over the site together.
In the impenetrable ice and dense stone lies the side of a dragon skull. The yellow-white skull is in perfect condition and most of the teeth are still intact with the jaw bone. The eye socket alone is probably the size of a Frisbee. Twenty-four hard years have finally paid off for Dr Naa, and the whole world is about to know her name.
