Kira's POV)

I walked out as Master called my name. I was holding my small, fragile necklace my mom gave me for my sixth birthday. "Cana.." I mumbled as I saw a brown haired girl drinking a barrel. She stopped drinking as she heard me. Oops..
"Welcome to the guild!" She smiled as she whispered 'baby sister' in my ear. She remembers me! "Oi Kira!" I looked over to a pink haired boy. "Natsu, right?" I asked. He nodded. "I know you're new and all, but-"
"Natsu, don't even think about it." Erza said. "Oh come on! I wasn't gonna go hard on the girl!" Natsu whined. Erza gave a death glare at Natsu. "I mean yes ma'am.." I giggled. Wow, what a family. I was smiling. But that smile was hiding a storm of emotion... Loneliness, depression, and fear. Fear of being stabbed in the back.. Fear of not fitting in. Fear of being broken again.

(Two days later)

I sighed to myself. I was watching the sunset by Fairy Tail's guild hall. "Kira.. You know Mohatu.." Bandit trailed off. His small brown eyes locked with my blue glass eyes. "Mohatu. I know. It was his fault I got into this mess of a family." I looked back at the setting sun. Bandit all of a sudden laughed. My eyes narrowed. "What's so funny?" I growled. "You like that Natsu guy! And Laxus." he fell over laughing. "Well you like Carla!" I blushed, and so did Bandit. "Boo." Laxus yelled. "HOLY CRAP YOU SCARED ME!" I said, my arms flailing everywhere.
Laxus just laughed, and then asked "why are you sitting out here alone?" I stood up.
"Well, I'm not alone. I have bandit."
"And I have you." Laxus whispered so I couldn't hear. Bandit flew up on my shoulder.
"She has a crush on yo-"
"Bandit!" I cut him off before he could finish. My face turned a bright red. Laxus rubbed his neck. "I know." Great. He knows I like him. Now I was an even brighter red. "Aw! She looks like she's gonna explode! How cuuuutttte!" Bandit sarcastically said. Laxus walked over to me and placed his hands on my shoulders. I opened my eyes, only to see his face right by mine. "I.. I can't." I said as I ran out of his arms.
Laxus's p.o.v
"What..?" I was confused as to why Kira ran as I tried to kiss her. Bandit sighed. "She's been like that since her fourth and final boyfriend." The silver cat said. "Why?" I asked him. "Her first boyfriend cheated, her second one committed suicide, her third one raped her, and her fourth one never really lover her." Hearing those words made me want to hug Kira, look her in her small, blue eyes and tell her its okay. I walked off, following Kira's scent.
"Wait! Where are you going?"
I just kept walking. Kira.. Is she really the one I want? The one girl I can't resist.. Is she really going to be my other half?

It took me a while, but I found little Kira sitting on her bed. She was in her house, and for some reason, she was writing. Luckily her window was open, so I could hear her saying; (as she wrote)
Dear mom
I found Cana in a wizard's guild! She uses card magic. I wonder if dad is here too.. Oh and guess what? It's my second day in the guild, and I already like two people named Natsu and Laxus. Although, I think I like Laxus way more.
I heard her sigh, and she walked out of her room. She returned with a glass of water and a picture.
She continued writing
I hope Jackal is okay.. He's the only boy that treated me like a girl and not a toy. That's all for today mom

I couldn't help but feel sorry for the girl. She was left alone after her mom and dad got divorced, because Cana ran looking for help, her mom died, and her dad just left her. She was alone for years.. I couldn't stop myself. I walked to the other side of Kira's house and knocked on her door.

Kira's pov

I had just finished a letter to my mom when I heard a knock on the door. It was probably Bandit, considering I just ran off and left him. I walked over and opened the door, and once I did, Laxus wrapped one of his arms around my waist and one around my neck. He kissed me gently, but I couldn't pull away. So I slowly melted into it, closing my eyes & kissing him back. Fortunately, he was running out if breath, so he pulled away. "I can't.. Do this.." I slowly said. "I'm a dragon's daughter. I'm.. I'm a demon." Laxus's eyes widened at my words. I closed my eyes and bit my lip, trying not to cry. Now I know nobody trusts me. I'm a demon! Its my fault Mohatu came and destroyed half the guild. Its my fault- Laxus interrupted my thoughts by hugging me. "I don't care." My eyes opened. My head rested on his shoulder as I softly cried. To be honest, I felt safe in Laxus's arms.

(The next day, dramatic)

I'd almost forgotten I let Laxus sleep with me. I woke up with his strong arms around me, which startled me at first, but I liked it. I managed to slip out of his arms- until he pulled me back. I landed on top of him. "No." he said sleepily. "I need to shower." I kissed his forehead.
"Can I join you?"
"No!" I blushed at the thought of us in the shower together. Laxus groaned then let me go.

(At the guild)

I saw Cana sitting at the bar, as usual. I walked over to her. "Hey Cana!" I smiled. "How's it going with Bacchus?" I sarcastically said, elbowing her arm. Cana blushed and I giggled. "That's not funny!" she shouted. "Is too!" I sat on a stool. "Hey Kira! What can I get for you?" Mira asked. "Just water please." I smiled. "Oh come on! No drinking contest?" Cana frowned. "Cana, I've never had a drink in my entire life." I replied. "Say what? You sure you're my sister?" Cana laughed. I smiled. Laxus walked up to where me and Cana were sitting. Cana smiled. "So do you like anybody?" She asked me and Laxus. (I couldn't like Natsu anymore. He started dating Lucy yesterday, and I started dating Laxus yesterday.) "Well, yeah." I said. I gave Cana a look that said 'don't ask because I'm not telling'. Laxus and Cana exchanged looks, then Laxus nodded. Then, everything around me went fuzzy.
