V: Patience and Goal-Setting
Ah, the big finale. The most important thing needed to gain reads: Patience. Don't expect to succeed overnight, because I could bet my life that that won't happen. The probability of you gaining a million reads overnight, is simply 1 to 1 billion. You'd have a better chance at winning the lottery 3 times in a row. If you're going to gain reads on Wattpad, then you need patience, because fussing over the fact that you only get approximately a dozen reads a day or less is simply proof of impatience.
Wattpad Star, Ms. Horrendous told me it took her over 2 years to even become somewhat recognized. She had patience, and guess what? Her most popular book currently has over 6 million reads, and she has even won a Watty on that story. That is proof that patience leads to success.
Another thing that you must take in mind is to set goals for yourself. This will reduce demotivation. Setting goals for your book are more than necessary. It will be satisfying knowing that you accomplished your goal, and if you don't, set smaller goals and see what happens. Always start small.
