Hi. By the time you are reading this, I'm probably dead. I made a mistake. I hope you get this before you make the same mistakes as I did. It runs in our blood. To fight. To challenge the rules. You must be confused. Let me explain. You live in a place called Thesem. If you look out side you can see walls that look as if they have no end. There is a hidden door. Where the Linkners travel out to go get resources from beyond the wall. The Linkners are basically the government of are society. Do not under any circumstance argue with them. Even if they are in the wrong. They will always over rule you. Linkners are the second highest powered people who live in Thesem. First class is the owner of Thesem. Bryce Lumpnug. He treats us like property. The third class is the riches. They have major connections with Thesem they rarely get in trouble. Then there is us. They call us the rugs. They treat us like objects. They say they treat us like this to keep crime out.For every crime committed the rules get stricter for us rugs. Even if we aren't the ones who committed a crime. So far there has been zero crimes since I've been alive. Now for the rules...
1. Do as your told, do not argue back with the Linkners.
2. When you are born you already have a "mate" set up for you. Do not cheat nor look at any other "mate" but the one you where assigned with.
Now this rule is the most important rule, under no circumstances shall you break it. If you do you shall be set to an unbearable amount of torture.
3. Don't leave the Thasem. No matter how far you run. How much you hide. If you leave you will never be safe agian. They will find you. No matter how hard you try. There is no escaping the Thesem. I hope you understand. I know you must think this is unfair. But that's the price we must pay to live here. There no crimes. No one get hurt. We work, eat, sleep and carry out our part in this world. Now you must wonder who I am and why you are reading this. I'm Amber Tillens. Your mother. I'm sorry to tell you that you will never get to hear, see, feel or talk to me. But It's for the best. Let's see I'll give you a hint of what I look like. I have long brown hair with golden strands that shine like a golden sun. I'm not very tall. I have blue-ish green-ish eyes. Your father once told me that my eyes where like the galaxy. So much to explore but there never enough time. I have tan skin since I work all day in the sun. I transport resources from the delivery truck to various of places. It's hard work, but at least it helped me build up my strength for what was to come in the future.
