(MARY'S POV)
Today me and my ladies are helping Lady Kenna get ready for her marriage to Bash, they were only engaged 2 weeks ago but Bash insisted he wanted to wed her as soon as possible.
"Kenna you look beautiful" I compliment as she looks in to the full body mirror to see her reflection.
"I hope Bash thinks so" she fixes her necklace and turns to me.
"Of coarse he will, he's the luckiest man in the world. Now I must go so i will see you out there soon and please don't run away" We laugh and grab each other's hands.
"Thank you Mary" I smile at her then walk out of the door.
I walk down towards chapel where Bash and Francis are waiting outside greeting people as they come in.
"Your grace" Bash bows his head as I walk towards them.
"None of that it's your wedding day" I smile and tell him to rise.
"Has Kenna ran away yet" Francis says jokingly and Bash hits him.
"No she hasn't, in fact quite the opposite she can't wait to walk down the aisle" I smile and give Bash a hug.
"I think all the guests have arrived, shall we?" Francis puts his arm and hand out while smiling at me.
"We shall" I grab his hand gently and we walk into the chapel hand in hand.
"You look beautiful by the way" he whispers into my ear as everyone turns their heads towards us.
"And you look very handsome" we smile and look at each other through the corners of our eyes.
"I do believe this is the first time we've walked down an aisle together" he raises his eyebrow at me.
"Too bad we aren't the ones getting married" I hint and bow my head to King Henry as we walk past him and Queen Catherine.
"I'll discuss it with my father later" he kisses my cheek and we stand opposite King Henry and Queen Catherine.
The music starts playing and Bash walks towards the alter wearing his white and gold outfit which really does glow when the light from the candles hit it.
The doors to the chapel open and everyone's heads turn to see Lady Kenna walking in a white dress with gold embroidery and a gold ribbon tied around her waist with a bow. She's holding a bouquet of pink and white flowers while her niece throws pink blossom petals on the ground in front of her.
I nod my head at her as she passes by me and Francis.
I look over at Bash who's smiling and can't take his eyes of Kenna, all of a sudden I feel Francis grab my hand and kiss my forehead.
(FRANCIS' POV)
After the ceremony we go to the reception, the music is playing and everyone is dancing. I watch Bash and Kenna dance and they look so happy, I've never seen Bash this happy in all of our lives.
I see my father and walk over to him.
"Father can we talk?" I pour myself a glass of wine.
"What is it?" He snatches the glass from my hand and drinks it.
"Have you thought about a date for mine and Mary's wedding?" I pour another glass for myself.
"Francis this is your brothers day, let him enjoy it" he walks away and I roll my eyes, Mary looks at me concerned and walks over.
"What's wrong?" She questions while grabbing my hand.
"Nothing just my father, I asked him when shall we be wed and he refused to talk about it" I place my hand on hers.
"Oh..." she looks down at the ground.
"Mary it's okay, we will be married one day" I try to comfort her but she takes a step back.
"We keep saying that Francis, one day this, one day that. But when is that day actually going to come? Because I'm starting to think never" she shakes her head and walks away from me.
I drink my wine and lean against the wall with my arms crossed watching Mary as she dances with the Prince of Condé, Louis. Why won't my father just let me marry her already, that's the whole point of her being here.
It's the final dance before Bash and Kenna leave for their honeymoon, I stand opposite Mary as we watch them dance gracefully around the room. All anyone can hear is the music and there foot steps, people watch in awe of them.
Suddenly feathers and blossom petals fall from above, I look up and then at Mary who's looking straight at me. She's probably the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, her long dark hair just sitting on her shoulders, her lips red and plump and that smile, she's like an angel.
It reminds me of when we were just children playing with pillows and feathers fell around us.
Everyone joins in the dancing and I just stop and stare at her. It's like I'm in a dream, how can I be so lucky to be in love with a woman so heavenly.
She begins to walk out of the chapel and I walk after her.
"Mary wait" I catch up to her and grab her arm.
"What Francis?" She turns and without hesitation I kiss her wrapping my arms around her.
"I love you Mary Stuart, forever."
