ESCAPE

CHP 1: GOODBYE

"Em,did you take your sunglasses?"I asked Emily ,my best friend from grade 1."Oh ,forgot bout that.Thanks Ari",said Em as she took her shades and headed for the door."Bye love ,miss you"she said as she hugged me."Goodbye".Emily had come to Los Angeles for a job interview and now she's on her way back to her home place,Atlanta.I'm really going to miss her.I live alone with my fluffy little cat,bubbles ,since my family died.I remember that day as I remember my name,and that's very well.

FLASHBACK

It was the 5th of march,my 10th birthday.Me,my mom,dad and sister were headed to my party which was 25 minutes away from our place.The ride started very joyful but ended up very horrific.It was night time and we were passing through a very deserted kind of place and I felt like I had pee.So we saw a tiny hotel on the side and parked our car beside it.I went inside and although the place was very unhygienic ,I had to deal with it.The lights started to flicker and someone knocked on the door.Before answering the door I heard a bunch of screams.They sounded familiar.I was getting creeped out. I opened the door and to my surprise no one was there.I walked out and ,shockingly the car had disappeared.
Only a red scarf laid on the floor.I realized that it belonged to my sister.I turned to my left and saw smoke .I started running towards it.The smoke cleared a bit and the shape of a car upside down appeared.Tears started forming in my eyes as I saw my family.They were in pain,hurt and were about to take their very last breaths .I saw my sister's fingers moving I went towards her and she gave me a necklace."Happy..bir..th...day".she said in her last breaths.I kissed her forehead and then saw my dad's fingers moving .He gave me a book and somehow managed to let out the words"love..you..Happy...birt...hday..sweetheart...please...use..this..book.."and those were his last ones.I kissed him on his forehead too.Now tears were flowing out of me like a waterfall.By the time I reached my mom,she was gone. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"I screamed.I just lost my whole family.They were my heart.I just wanted all of this to be a nightmare.I did everything I could like I pinched myself ,slapped my face hard,rubbed my eyes ,I did everything but no,this was real.

It was getting really dark, I started walking forwards and two headlights beamed in my eyes.I started feeling dizzy and the last thing I could remember was a guy coming out of the car and holding me.

Next thing,I was in my bed covered in my blanket.

PRESENT
I always wear the necklace but I have never opened the book.I had to do something to get away from my horrific past.I started getting thoughts on moving.Now,now,leave all that.I have to get ready for the day.I was still in my pj's . I ate some breakfast and got into the shower.I brushed my teeth and got out.I took a pair of black shredded jeans and a white sleeve less tanktop along with a jean vest to put on top.To top it up I was going to wear my star necklace,well I always do,but this time it was missing.I remember removing it last night while going to sleep.I need my necklace.It was my lucky charm. I always wore it.I dialed Em on my phone."Hey,its me aria."I said."Oh ,hey.I was just about to board the plane.What's up?"she replied."Can you please check if you put on my star necklace instead of yours?"I requested."Oh,you are right.I was in such a hurry that I put yours instead of mine.So sorry",she said."You know,you should really look at what you do even if you are in a hurry",I said in a mocking tone."So sorry hun,i'll return it somehow,but right now I gtg.Love ya",she replied.
"Fiiiinnnnneeee",I dragged."Goodbye Em".
