It was raining hard outside Lily Cafe. Today was a special menu day so the cafe opens up until 11 o'clock. The cafe was almost empty seeing it's near closing time. Two last customers then gets up and walked outside.

"Thank you for visiting, please comeback again!" Said Arin. One of the customer smiled.

Arin then mopped the wet floor caused by customer's footprints. She looked up to the clock which was hanging on the wall.

11.45

It's pretty late. Let's go home quick after this!

After she puts back the mop, she took off her uniform and puts it on her locker. She greeted Yoona, the cafe owner, and also her friend, on her way out.

"Go home safely and thanks for today!" Said Yoona while counting today's income. Arin waved her hand to Yoona. "See you on Friday!"

On the way to the bus station, Arin puts on her earphone and played cage of the elephant song, cigarette daydreams. She hummed all the way until the bus come and then sat on an empty sit. The bus was quite empty, it was just her and a woman.

She looked outside the window, looks like the rain won't stop any soon eh?

Five minutes passed and she arrived on her neighborhood. She said good night to the driver and decided stayed under the station for a while.

10 minutes passed and the rain keeps pouring harder.

"How am I suppose to go home? Shit I still have things to do. Damn it." Said Arin while looking at her phone, showing it's midnight.

"Shh. Sweet girl don't swear, you know?" Said someone. Arin looks behind her and saw a boy standing with his hand holding an umbrella. She was taken aback. She saw him one time before, he lives beside her apartment but she rarely meet him. She met him when he first moved in, but she was sick at the time so she doesn't care much.

"I belive I can say whatever I want." She said.

"Don't you know the saying 'think before you speak'?" He raised his eyebrow and grinned teasingly. Arin looked at him in disbelief.

"I was talking to myself, okay?" She said, defending herself. Duh, who does he think he is?

"But you aren't by yourself." He smirked. She pressed her lips trying not to spits more anger and choose to ignore him.

She closed her eyes and hold her phone tightly. Just. Ignore.

Then she heard the sound of umbrella being opened. She opened her eyes and looked up, the umbrella was on top of her. She looks on her left, the boy was looking at her.

Arin felt her heart skipped a beat. She never had experience with a boy before. Except for Woojin, since he's her friend since elementary school.

That boy looked at her eyes, not with a teasing look like before.

What is this? Why am Iooking at him?

"Uhm." The boy coughed to break the silence. He blinks for a few times. "It's getting more late. Let's go."

The boy starts to walk, leaving Arin in confuse. The boy then looked at her, "they say the rain won't stop til morning."

She snapped back to reality and quickly follows his steps beside him.

"Thank you." Arin said quietly.

"What?" The boy turns to look at her.

"I said thank you." She said in a louder voice. "And sorry. I.. I didn't mean to swear to you I'm-" wait, "why am I sorry to you?"

The boy laughed. "Nevermind that. I'm Jiho, by the way. Shin Jiho."

"Arin. Choi Arin." She replied.

"I can't believe we've been neighbors for two weeks and we only introduce tonight." Said Jiho.

"Since we never meet each other?"

"Well I'm kinda busy, you know. I'm preparing something. No choice but to go home late. I moved since this is near my office." He shrugged his shoulder. "I never see you this late. What were you doing, if I may ask?"

"Oh, I'm working part-time, helping my friend. The cafe I work in closed late today. So you've been going home this late?" She asked back.

"This is actually my early. I usually go back home at two or three. I'm a busy ma-" His cockyness was cut off.

"Are you working on a club? Or a karaoke? What kind of job do you do?" She looks confused.

"Hahahah! No. Well you can say I'm a musician. I practice and made my music until night. I dance too you know." Jiho explains excitedly. He then tells her his experience on making music and stuffs.

She didn't felt awkward. Because she didn't know what this comfort feeling will turns into.

They finally arrived in front of each apartment. She looks to her left while putting her key. "Thank you. And have a nice rest."

"Good night, Arin." He smiled to her. She replied with a smile before going in.

"She don't recognize me." Jiho mumbled.
