My Kidney
From a young age, I had a dysfunctional kidney. I knew I'd need a transplant some day, and I knew I wanted to sing.
Xfactor made that happen. Not the first time but the second. And one day I got a kidney donor, and that is how I got my kidney.

You don't need to die to give, but you do need to try to love
Liam's POV
- After Kidney transplant
As soon as I woke I prayed for the one who had given me the kidney. I prayed my body would accept the kidney.
It was hard going, but now I had to functional organs now, I was grateful. I wanted to bring up countless times what had happened to the donor, who he or she was, how he or she died. But I didn't.
Eventually though I approached the doctor and asked.
"Who was my donor?"
He smiled at me "Your donor was a lovely young lady" he spoke.
"Rest her soul"
"Oh no Mr Payne" his eyes looked into mine "Your donor did not die to donate"
I was dumbstruck, I always thought that you had to die to give up an organ, could a living being give up an organ?
The girl was still alive.
"We didn't tell her it was you that her organ would be donated to, you'd have seen thousands of fans try to donate to"
I chuckled at the thought.
Who would donate their kidney?
I thought of it within me, swelled with my blood, it was once with her, in her body, pumped by her blood.
I wondered who she was and if I'd find her.
