Chapter 3

Betty
"At a point I stopped dancing; Why? you ask. That's because something seemed off. French is no where in sight, the bartenders aren't at their stand, no DJ, one part of the bar is dark and from the windows outside there seemed to be no light so I walk towards Chloe and Anne;

"Hey have you guys seen French?" I asked

" She was standing over there with Liam" Chloe said taking a sip of her drink and pointing in the direction of the invisible bartenders.

" So where are they now?" I asked raising up my brows and scanning the room.

" Maybe they went outside to get some air or something. It's weird tho, French and Liam aren't that close and suddenly tonight they were together something's up" Ann said

" Do they have any chemistry? At least you Betty are meant to know Chloe said grinning

" This isn't funny Chloe and if they had anything and she didn't spit it out to me, sooner or later I'll find out so why don't we go out and check if they're there I concluded and walked out.

When we went outside we saw something; how exactly should I describe this thing? It's creepy, disgusting and deadly. It kept chasing French and throwing her. It didn't look like it was going to kill her tho. But it just kept attacking her;

" Do you guys think it wants something from her? " I cried out. What are we going to do now there's no way us three can stop that thing.

" There's no way we can stop it Chloe said shivering so bad she started peeing on herself. What does it want from a seventeen year old girl who is scared of everything else?

I heard French screaming "help, help somebody anybody " she was crying and obviously she was feeling broken, she's hurt. I run to save her but at a point, I hit my head on an invisible wall.

" How's this even possible what's going on? "I murmured

On the other side where French was being maltreated, it looked like I'm just standing doing nothing but I'm actually looking for help. And that's how I watched this deadly beast maltreatment my best friend until she became unconscious and it took her away.

Chloe, Ann and I followed this beast quietly to see where this creature is taking her to. The pathway was so quiet and spooky we could hardly see anything so I brought out my cellphone to turn on my flash light the front part of my phone, the touch screen part was yellow with green, brown and red stripes and when I touched it, it shocked me.

" Dammit" I whispered my phone is now electrocuting how's that even possible?

"shhhhhh" Chole and Ann whispered at the same time. If this thing gets us, I'm so going to throw you so he can eat you up Ann said before she turned back to spy on where the creature was heading.

"I don't think I want to be a salivary dinner" I rolled my eyes at her

" Shit it's working towards us, I think it heard us" Ann cried so we ran and hid in front of an abandoned car.

" Are we going to die today? I still need to get graduate" Chloe said cleaning her tears

How do people cry so easily? I thought. I know at this point I'm meant to be crying also but I found myself saying the Lord's prayer.

       "Our father who at in heaven,
        hallowed be your name.
       Your kingdom come,
       Your will be done,
       On earth as it is in heaven.
       Giv.....

  "Betty really keep it down this creature or what ever it is, will eat us all" Ann reminded me covering her face.

This creature came closer and closer towards us until it finally stopped at the back of the car we were hiding in front of. It looked around when it didn't see us it went back and was shortly distracted by a cat crossing the street from a house on opposite side of the street. This creature followed this cat and ripped it open without mercy how heartless right? I know, I thought of that too
  While it was busy with the poor cat, we used the opportunity to run to the direction it came; we kept running until Ann tripped over and fell obviously that made the beast turn to our direction and started walking towards us. It didn't take us a minute to check what she tripped on, behold it was French's body lying down hopelessly, no life in her, just blood rushing from her body so we dragged her and moved as fast as we could.
  We made it to the train station. Don't ask me how because I don't know all I can recall is us dragging French's body and moving as fast as we could tho we stopped at some point. When we got there it was locked, we had to look for a way in right? We had limited time we didn't know if we were followed so our luck, there were some armies around guarding the station so they helped us in and took French to were she could receive treatment.

"Was she bitten?" one of them asked

" I have no idea sir" I responded

" That's terrible" he said. If she's she won't make it. Stand back

They did whatever they could to save her but it seems it wasn't working, I was terrified. I can't lose her; we aren't cool at times but she understands. After a moment she breathed out slowly. Thank goodness
