Once Terry [Travis dad] sees how much love Zane has for Travis, he takes advantage of that. He persuades Travis to propose to Zane.

After that, Terry shape shifts into Travis, and locks Travis away in another world. Terry then form there mind controls Zane. Terry is using all of Zanes love as power/fuel for himself. Somehow, Gene finds out the truth, and once Terry is made aware of that, he locks Gene away as well.

( Terry tries to persuades him by saying that after he's done collect Zanes energy of love, he could have Zane all for himself as Terry could make sure that Zane is under a spell to follow Genes orders. But Gene refuses. Saying that Zane should be with who he loves. Travis. Terry is angered by this.)

But Gene (although envys the fact that Zane is Travis instead of him) tries helps the real Travis escape.

They soon realise that Terry [In Travis form] and Zane are about to be legally wed.]
