Of Course I Care Chapter 1

Just a typical day at the TFIL house. Elton is at the gym, Aaron is playing with his dog Buddy, Corey and Devin are filming a reaction video, and Colby and Sam are playing video games.

Colby's POV

"Damn it you beat me again!" Sam laughs in victory "Yes! Second time in a row!" I laugh and set the remote down. "Hey, are you doing anything tonight?" he asks. "Yeah, sorry Sam, Brennan and I are hanging out tonight. You can come if you would like. Brennan would love to hangout with you again." I offer. I feel terrible for leaving to go to Brennan's. "No that's okay. I'll just FaceTime Katrina tonight". He grins. Him and his girlfriend are adorable together. "Okay well what do you want to do now?" I ask. "I don't know, what do you want to do?"

Sam's POV

"Want to swim in the pool?" He looks at the door then back to me. "Sure" I smile. We both run upstairs and get changed. We laugh while running through the back door. "Hey Sam! Watch this!" Colby flips into the water and I jump in after him. "Nice one" I grab a pool noodle and hit him. "Hey!" he laughs and attacks me.

Corey's POV

"That was good!" I praise my girlfriend Devyn. She stands up and gives me a huge hug. "Can we go play with Buddy now?" she asks sweetly. "Of course." She had been waiting to pet Buddy since before we started filming the video. I walk into his room to find Devyn already petting the little puppy. "Hey Aaron do you have the time? My phone died." Aaron nods and takes out his phone. "It's 4:00pm" Oh shit! Devyn and I were suppose to be at our friends house for the night. "Devyn we have to go! We are going to be late!" I give Aaron a quick hug and run out the door with Devyn.

Colby's POV

I check myself out in the mirror. Black jeans, a grey hoodie, and messy hair from swimming. "You look fine" Sam laughs as he walks in. "I like looking like I'm ready for a photo at  anytime though" I joke. We both laugh. My phone starts to ring. "I've got to take this" I point to my phone and answer. "Hey" It's Brennan. "Hey buddy what's up?" I can tell he is happy. "Just went swimming with Sam" I reply. " Yo, you, Sam, and I need to hangout sometime soon" I smile. "yeah" Brennan yawns and I can tell he pulled an all nighter last night. "So I might kind of need you here at 6:00pm, Is that doable?" I think about it. "Yeah sure

Sam's POV

Even when Colby leaves, If I get bored I could always hang out with Aaron or Elton. I go upstairs and into Aaron's room. "Hey Sam" he smiles. I return the smile "Hey" Buddy runs to me and jumps up. "Hey Buddy" I pet him. Aaron laughs as Buddy clumsily falls over. "So what have you been up to all day?" he asks. "Gaming with Colby and swimming". Buddy runs back to Aaron and jumps into his lap. "That sounds fun"

Elton's POV

I am sweating like crazy. That was a good workout. "Boys I'm home!" I call out. "Hey Elton!" Colby greets me. He has a bag and his shoes are on. "Where are you headed?" I ask curiously. Bennan's. Oh and speaking of that. I should get going. Its 5:40. "Good idea" I grin as I watch him run out the door. "Sam? Aaron? Where are you guys?"I yell. "Upstairs they both reply at the same time. They come downstairs. "Hey guys" They smile. "How was the gym" I sigh. "pretty great, I'm going to go take a shower though.

11:30pm

Sam's POV

"I'll finish it tomorrow" I close my laptop after editing a video for the Sam and Colby channel. I grab my black sweater and throw it on. I put on my sneakers and walk downstairs. "I'm going for a quick walk!" I call out to Elton and Aaron. "Okay!" The stars fill the dark navy blue sky but they are hard to see because of the streetlights. Suddenly I feel as though I am being followed. I peek around while pretending to be on the phone with someone. I can't see anyone so I put my phone back in the front pocket of my jeans. My heart is racing and my hands are shaking. I turn the corner and realize I made a huge mistake... The street has no streetlights. I begin to jog when I am slammed into the ground.  I attempt to stand up but the guy pulls out a knife. "Stand up and you're dead,Understand?" I am frozen in time. My worst nightmare is coming true? "Understand?!" the guy raises his tone and steps closer. "Yes" I managed to squeak out. He turns around and I lunge at him. This is not happening! Not today! "You son of a bitch!" He yells as I punch him in the face with the intention of breaking his nose. He pushes me into a hard stone wall and punches me repeatedly in my ribcage. Each hit hurts worse so I kick him away and grab thee closest thing to me. A plank. I attempt to hit him with it but lose balance and fall on my wrist. "Damnit!" I mumble in disappointment. "Stand up kid!" he demands. I stand up but he takes his knife out and presses me against the wall. I use my arm to push his arm away but the blade catches.  When the guy realizes what he did he bolts away. I attempt to start walking home and get dizzy, my vision blurs and darkness surrounds me.
