New school, better life.
Or so I thought.

Riverdale high school happened to have bigger problems than anywhere I've ever lived, and this time I'm here to stay.

My parents both grew up here, and after my mother died my father decided it would be best to come back here; a place riddled with more death than I've ever known.

My father insisted that nothing like this would ever happen again, but how can he be sure? Someone will snap eventually.

But for now I must focus on being the new girl. Today I, Alicia Jane Lockwood will step into Riverdale high a brand new person.

This "new me" is a polar opposite of what I was at my old school. I was the life of the party, now I will be living in books. I would drink whatever alcohol passed my way, now I'll just stick to some iced tea.

Being the quiet girl will not be easy, but I am determined to make it work. I have to, not just for myself but for my Father, i cannot bear to see him as he was before. I'm not going to tear apart my family again.

When my grandmother died she left us her house in the North Side, and we were hesitant to move in at first. Alas now we have just finished unpacking and tomorrow morning is my first day at Riverdale High.

"Dad, i'm gonna go take a walk outside, i need some fresh air" i said

"isn't a little late?" he replied

"i'll just be a few minutes, don't worry"

"ok"

i put on my jacket and walked outside. It seems very peaceful here. My thoughts were disturbed by the loud sound of music coming from a house down the block.

"Not so quiet after all" i laughed to myself

I stopped and debated going to check out the party, but i made a promise. No more parties. But I guess it wouldn't hurt to just walk near it, right? I followed the sound until I reached the source. I looked at the mailbox and the side had "Andrews." in big white lettering.

I ended up zoning out, until i heard a voice

"hey, you know you can just go in right?"

"i'm not really interested in going in, but thanks"

"said no one ever, c'mon!" the voice said

"i'm sorry, i can't"

"then why bother standing- hey wait, who are you?"

"my name is Alicia, I just moved here"

"Archie Andrews, nice to meet you" he said with a smirk

"ah, so this is your party. What do you play? Football? Basketball?"

"I play Football, but i'm honestly more into writing music"

I laughed

"what? Can a football player not be into writing music?"

"they can be, i was just a little surprised about it"

"a lot of people were, my dad took it pretty well though"

"as much as i hate to be cutting this conversation short, i told my dad i would only be a few minutes and it's been a while, i don't wanna worry him"

"can i walk you home?" he asked

"if you want"

My house seemed a lot farther from his than i had thought at first, it felt like we were walking and talking for hours. As we arrived at my house i went to go open the door when he stopped me

"hey, give me your phone"

"okay" i handed him my phone

i assumed he was putting in his number and laughed

"what? just a little welcome to riverdale gift"

"oh so getting your number is a gift?" i said sarcastically

"only a lucky few receive it" he winked

"goodbye Archie, have fun at your party"

"will do, see you tomorrow Alicia, welcome to Riverdale"

A.A POV

as i walked back to my house i thought about Alicia. She seemed like a very genuine person, maybe she could help me. After my parents split up i began to start partying more, hosting my own when my dad was working late. I don't even think i really enjoy parties, they just make me forget everything.

I got back to the party and was bombarded with questions

"hey man, where were you? i've been looking for you forever"

"damn Andrews, did you get laid?"

"Yo, Archie you good?"

Just the usual questions.

"i went on a walk, no i did not get laid, and i'm fine"

"a walk huh? with who?" reggie asked

"just a new girl that stopped by, her name is Alicia"

"is she hot?"

"yeah, she's cute, but that doesn't really matter to me, she seemed nice"

"Andrews don't tell me you're thinking about dating this girl" Reggie laughed

"no, of course not, I just met her" i responded joining in on the laughter.

sometimes i really hate Reggie, he's a good friend but he can be an asshole sometimes.
