How it started

CoCo-

I woke up in the middle of the night to loud noises coming from my mom's bedroom. So I quickly got up to go see what the noise was and it was the sound of my dad beating my mom, which was nothing new because, he would always hit her when he was drunk. I ran in to see if I could stop him but, my mom immediately took his side. She started yelling and screaming at me like I was the one harming her when I was only trying to stop him. Then she began saying she deserved to be punished. So, I told her that no one deserves to be hit on by someone they love. Next thing you know I was on the floor with blood dripping from my lip because she had hit me. She didn't even say she was sorry she just started screaming telling me to get out her house and that I was to grown to live there. Then I began thinking, but I'm only 16 how will I survive. I didn't feel like arguing cause I new I wouldn't win, so I grabbed what I could carry before leaving and Never looking back. (CoCo up top)
