Oliver & Company: Dodger X Diamond (OC)

A/N I don't own Oliver and Company.

Dodger took Diamond back to their wreck house boat. Dodger told her that they will try again tomorrow again and again. Its been close to a whole month. Diamond became depress but Dodger trued to cheer her up any way he can.

Deep inside he was actually starting to feel guilty from keeping her away from her own home but if he takes her back he won't see her again and he can't live like that when he fell in love with her.

Diamonds was upset and confused as to why was it taking them so long to find her home but then again she is enjoying her time with Dodger, hopefully she can convince her human if Dodger can stay with them if he wanted too because she was also falling in love with him.

Diamond and Dodger just came from the pier he took her out on a date to help cheer her up. They finally arrived home and it was night time already. They were both surprise to see Rita wide awake waiting for them outside the house boat.

"Woah, Rita isn't it kinda of late for you to be up this late?"

"Well Dodge it is our time of the month, are you ready?"

Diamond was confused and looked between.

"Dodger what does she mean?"

Dodger had his eyes on Rita and said

"Nothing babe just get inside the boat house. I'm gonna have a word with my friend here"

"Dodger ......"

"Now Diamond"

He growled and she didn't hesitate and went inside the boat house but stood on the side to hear what they are talking about.

"So I see you are still with that brat?"

"Don't call her that"

"Why not? Ever since she came into the picture she ruined our plans"

"That was all you"

"But you enjoyed......Dodger come on I know you don't want to stop, you could have end it but no you like it and kept coming to me every day begging for me to let you in"

"That's all in the past now. So do me a favor and keep your mouth shut"

"We'll see about that"

Diamond heard the conversation and quickly and silently walked to hers and Dodger's bed and closed her eyes pretending to be asleep. Until someone tapped her roughly on the head.

"Ow"

It was Rita

"We need to talk outside now"

She said walking to the stairs leading outside. Diamond got up and quickly followed. She went to stand next to Dodger who looked mad.

"Is everything okay?"

She asked nuzzling his neck. Rita growled and said

"Okay, so I think you should know the truth about me and Dodger"

Diamond pulled away from Dodger's neck.

"What is it?"

"Before you came into the picture Dodger and I were in a relationship but you ruined the whole thing. And the funny thing is that he never told me that its over between us, so I assume our relationship is still going."

Diamond looked at Dodger with a concern and sad look

"Is that true?"

Dodger looked at Diamond with his head low and ears down

"it was but it was in the past"

Dodger was shock he would have thought Diamond would yell at him or tun away or break up with him instead she licked his cheek. He lifted up his head and looked at Diamond who was smiling.

"Its in the past right, the past stays in the past and I'm here now so I'm his gift his present."

Dodger smiled but the smiled disappeared when they heard a growl from Rita.

"Idiot, he has been with other girls and flirted with a lot"

Diamond stood her ground.

"I don't care, I'm right here and I'm not leaving him. I don't care he can be with anyone from the past but he chose me"

"Hahaha you know that's exactly what I thought too"

This time it was Diamond turn to growl, Rita got into a fighting stance and started to circle Diamond. Dodger quickly got in between them before a fight started.

"Rita get it through your head I am with Diamond now. I'm sorry that i was using you and leading you on but i want to have my life with Diamonds, I love her"

Diamond blushed and Rita growled and walked away passing Diamond.

"I'm warning you, he is going to hurt you bad"

Diamond rolled her eyes and walked up to Dodger happily wagging her tail and gave Dodger a sly smile.

"So you really love me?"

Dodger blushed he didn't know he blurted that part out. Well now that the cats out if the bag might as well confess.

"Yes, I love you"

Diamonds smiled and leaned up close to Dodger.

"I love you too"

Dodger smiled his tail is also wagging and closed the distance between them their lips and nose touched.
