falling, falling, falling hard <3
The day seems to flash before my eyes and soon enough I'm finding a seat on the bus. I sit myself down and pull out my phone and headphones, switching to my favourite song.
Most girls...
Are smart and strong and beautiful.
I feel a slight tap on my right shoulder which snapped me out of my train of thought, I take out one of my earbuds, Jake was standing in front of me with a mischievous grin on his face.
"You have a great voice" He giggles, heat rises into my cheeks and I start to blush. Oh shit was I singing out loud?
"Is this seat taken?" He gestures toward the seat next to me.
"No, you can have it." I give him a seat smile as he almost immediately takes it without an issue. I decide upon pausing my music and engaging in some sort of conversation with Jake.
"Are you an only child? Sorry if that's really random I just thought I'd start a conversation since this is a moderately long bus trip." He laughs, and when he does his eyes electric blue seem to shine brighter and his smile creases compliment that by a thousand.
"No, I have a younger sister, Mia,she's five. What about you?" He locks eyes with me and I could stare at them forever.
"No, I have an older brother, Daniel. He's eighteen." I smile sweetly at him. My parent's tell me I look like an angel when I smile like this so I thought it would help in this situation... somehow.
"Let's play a game." He instructed, raising an eyebrow at me. I giggle looking at the floor and then re- locking eyes with him.
"And what would this game be, Mr Jake Harrison?" I conceded, copying his facial expression.
"OK so," He starts "We each take turns at asking questions, any questions at all." He gives me the same wink he has somehow given me at least fourteen times today.
"I'll start since you just asked me one." I nod, liking the sound of this game. "Do you have any pets? And if not what pet would you like to have." He inches closer to me, making our thighs touch, sending shivers down my spine.
"No, I unfortunately don't have any pets but I would absolutely LOVE to have Boston Terrier." I smile with the thought of owning one in my head. "I already have it planned out." I continue "When I get one I'm going to call it Bailey if it's a boy, and Lucy if it's a girl." I grin in pride as he giggles, making his dimples stand out.
"And you, do you have a dog?" I say re- engaging in the conversation, making him grin.
"Yeah I have a dog, he's a husky. I got him a week ago so he's very little. My sister and I named him Cody. Hey, if you aren't doing anything once this bus stops on our street you should come meet him." Hope shines in his eyes.
"Yeah sure." I smile, quite largely, picturing me meeting his dog in my mind. Oh my god I'm so cringey.
The rest of the ten minute bus ride we swap questions and laugh at jokes we make. The bus comes to a halt on our street and we hop out thanking the bus driver on the way out. We start walking up the street and when we pass my house Jake stops.
