"Keep, keep going." "You sure i won't hit the trash?" "No no you're good."

My best friend and I had just moved to downtown LA.I heard the boys behind us whistle and i turned, not paying attention to the moving truck my friend was driving.I noticed one sitting smoking a cigarette minding his business while his friends called.I heard the truck crash and i turned real quick.

"Scoot up a little." I laughed.She did and turned of the truck then walked over to me.They whistled even more and continued to call us over but of course we ignored it and laughed.We carried everything into the apartment and took the moving truck back to its lot.

"So do you like the set up?" Leah asked.I looked around."Definitely." I smiled and we laughed.We sat on the couch and she lit a blunt,"I feel like you're never gonna be home." She said.I looked at her, "We can still cuddle." I said then hugged her and we laughed.I checked the time and got up,"I have to leave already." I said and walked out to head to the the subway station.

I worked at some little upcoming magazine company.Just something to pay the rent.

I was working on the computer till i heard a voice."Hey, you're the new girl right." I turned and smiled,"Yeah." "Jela?" "Mhm." "Hey im Kelly.Do,do. you mind coming over here with me real quick?" "Oh sure." I said and got up.

He walked me around the place and introduced me to people i could be "friends" with, even though i most likely won't be but hey, it's the thought that counts. I went back to my computer and continued working.

The day was almost over and i was already done with my project so i basically playing games.I had an hour left and literally nothing to do, so i started working on tomorrow's project.I got a text from Leah saying my friend Michelle was over.I checked the time.

30 minutes.

I puffed out some air and spun in my chair.I laid my head back and did nothing.So far working here is boring.Really boring.

I was literally so bored i went on cool math games, a website i haven't been on since i was 14 in 9th grade.I was playing the baking games i would play, papas winger-ia , freezer-ia , anything-ia.

I was down to the 10th game and i was actually entertained.Till i checked the time.

2 minutes.

I sat up and exited out of the websites and grabbed my things.Kelly announced how we could leave and i quickly headed to the subway station again.

I got off and the boys from earlier we're still outside, except this time they were across the street from our apartment.I looked at them but then walked inside."Michelle!" I screeched and hugged her, she did the same."This place is so...am i allowed to call it low?" She laughed and so did we.Shes right though.

Downtown LA isn't the best,you got drugs, gangs, and everything else.But for some reason, it was like home to me.Growing up on the South side of houston you're used to it all.Gangs and drugs.Homeless everywhere,trash everywhere.But let me tell ya,the food.Bomb.

"Downtown has the cheapest homes though." Leah shrugged while taking a bite of her pizza."Yeah but.I don't know it's just different." Michelle shrugged while taking a hit."Well sorry our dads don't pay for a house for us in Beverley Hills." I said, causing Leah to laugh."Whatever.Speaking of Beverley Hills,it's a 30 minute drive to there so i should get going." She said taking another hit."Bye love y'all." She said and hugged us."Bye."

Leah and I do nothing but drink and smoke all day once i come home.Some say it's not healthy but to us it's like a lifestyle i guess."We need weed." Leah spoke.I looked out the window and saw the boys from earlier."I know where i can get some." I smirked and she knew who i was talking about, "Jela no are you crazy." I ignored her and grabbed my phone and purse to go ask them for some.

It was cold and i started to regret not grabbing my sweater.They were all talking when i approached them."H-hey yall know where i can get some weed?" I asked. The two from earlier looked and got close."Whatcha need ma?" "Ha, well whatcha got?" He was about to answer till the quite one spoke up.

"Why should we trust you?You could be a cop or sum." He said blowing out the smoke from his cigarette.I laughed."Im most definitely not a cop." "Mhm.Derek, give her a gram." He said.Derek i'm assuming gave me it, i was about to pay them till Derek said i didn't have to.

I smiled a toothless smile then backed away."Aye shawty, don't do drugs." The quite one said then laughed.

I smiled and nodded my head.I then headed back to the apartment.
