"You're joking. Please tell me you're joking." Damon remarked sarcastically.

Elena gave him and Stefan a frustrated look. "No, Damon, I'm not joking. Cora told me she was going out with a friend and the next thing I know, Katherine Pierce is standing in my front entrance hall with a devilish smirk on her face."

"Alright, relax." Stefan took a deep breath. "Elena, we will find Cora. She is not going to turn into Katherine Pierce."

"How do you know?"

"As much as Cora fights to be different than you, she's still your twin sister, and you both have the same morals. She would never let Katherine get the best of her."

"I hope you're right." Elena sighed. "I don't know what she's capable of anymore."

"I'm telling you, it works every time." Katherine chuckled. "Damon is like a lost puppy. You show him what you want him to see and he'll give you everything."

"And you're sure this will work?" Cora asked, walking alongside Katherine as they ventured through Mystic Falls.

"Positive. You use my tricks, and you'll have any guy you want crawling on their hands and knees begging for you."

"You're so good at this." Cora remarked.

"You will be too." Katherine grinned. "You not only have my stunning looks, but you have my charm and deceitful ways, quite unlike that annoying twin sister of yours."

"Elena is such a buzzkill." Cora agreed. "You think being in the same town as her is bad, try living with her for eighteen years. The only reason I haven't left the house is because of Jeremy."

"Is she still hung up on Stefan?"

"Yep."

"As much as I preferred Stefan, Damon is so much better in bed. Trust me."

"So, his reputation precedes him." Cora laughed, following Katherine into the Mystic Grill. "Good to know."

"Margarita?" Katherine asked as Cora settled down at one of the barstools.

"You know me so well."

Katherine ordered both of their drinks, and slid into the seat next to Cora's.

"So, when do you plan on striking?"

"Tonight." Cora answered. "No doubt Elena called the Salvatore brothers right after she saw us leave. I can guarantee Damon will help Elena and Stefan look for a little while, but then he'll get bored and head home to spend his night with a bottle of bourbon. I plan to show up at his door and seduce him."

"I feel like a proud mother." Katherine teased. "Want me to distract your sister and Stefan? You know how much I enjoying pissing her off."

"Be my guest." Cora nodded. "It gives me more time with Damon."

"Alright, I think I've done enough searching for one night. I'm heading home." Damon sighed, turning back toward where he parked his car.
